VTech VM346 Bear Video Baby Monitor with Automatic Infrared Night Vision, Soothing Sounds & Lullabies, Temperature Sensor & 1,000 feet of Range

I have 4 of these cameras and only had a problem with 1 - the night vision wasn't great working as well as the others. I contacted the company, and they shipped me a whole new system free of charge. If you ever have problems, they are quick to respond and very friendly. I HIGHLY recommend this product, both of the product itself and the support that you get along with it. My sister had hers for years (well outside warranty) and when her parent unit died, they also shipped her a new system when she explained what had happened. This is also one of the only video monitors that is a closed system, so it has no chance of getting hacked.

His has been a great monitor. If I have to complain about one thing, the brightness! The screen is very bright. Its loke having a lamp on my night stand. Besides that I think its been great. Range is good. And night vision is nice.

We've had this unit for almost 4 years now. I originally purchased the Nest Cam but if internet went down, the Nest app crashed, or their servers were down we were without a baby monitor. I decided I wanted a system that didn't rely on the internet or an app on my phone. The VTech has been great for us. The built-in battery of the monitor works great if we want to just move it around the house while we are cleaning or something. It notifies you if it loses connection with the camera. The audio works great and is plenty loud. The only con that I've observed is the buttons are easy to bump when holding it. I am currently in the process of finding an additional camera to add to the unit. I would definitely buy this unit again.

Wish that I had known that I could still return it a month ago. I bought it in November and I should have returned it then.Monitor cons-The volume down button is so loud that I can’t even use it at night when my husband is sleeping so that I can just view the camera. The screen is SO bright that I keep it hidddn when it is turning on and off. The split screen is tiny. It doesn’t have any volume when it is in the split screen but it does have a LOUD beep that my husband could hear when he was upstairs getting the baby. This morning when I was trying to turn it on, it wouldn’t turn on. I had to push the power button hard and move it around. I will contact the seller about this when I am done with the review.Monitor pros-I love the “patrol” mode where it switches cameras every few seconds. You can talk to the kids.Camera cons- The picture is very grainy. With my old baby monitor, I could actually see if the baby was moving. With this one, it is so grainy that you cant tell if it is the baby moving or the picture switching from grainy to grainier. I think that sometimes the sound cuts out so that I can’t hear the baby.Occasionally, the screen will go green or black. I know that this is the camera because I have another one that is linked that doesn’t do it. The other camera makes a loud buzzing noise on the monitor whenever it is showing that camera. I actually switched that camera into my toddler’s room because I don’t need to see him in the middle of the night. Also, that cameras picture is occasionally very dark. The camera doesn’t turn on when there is movement in the room, just sound. This isn’t bad in the infants room but in the toddlers room it is. It is stationary which, once again, isn’t an issue in the baby’s room but is in the toddlers room.Camera pros-It is a cute bear shape and has the options for sounds.

I absolutely loved this until it stopped turning on. It takes roughly 4 days for me to charge it and then even when plugged in the battery dies and Who knows how long until it turns back on. I was so excited this was the first time we have used a monitor and I can hardly use it 😒. But when it works it's perfect

Bought this unit May 2021 after our first monitor bit the dust because we wanted a company we trusted this time. Big mistake. The item quality has never been great. The sound is just okay and the picture is extremely grainy, even during the day. We are often unsure what we are even looking at (is that the kid or a pillow?).About 6 months after buying this monitor, we noticed it was having trouble charging. We would wiggle the cord a little and it would make a connection and be fine. We thought it was the charging cable, so we replaced it. Now it's just completely dead. Does not matter what cable we use (we have tried many, it's just a USB connection - not usbC). We plug it in, and if we sit perfectly still and hold it with just the right amount of pressure on it, the light will come on and it will start charging. If we try to set it down, the light goes out and we get nothing. Completely useless. Extremely disappointed. Don't waste your money!!

I’ve had this baby monitor for exactly one year and I couldn’t be happier .. The audio is great. I absolutely love the temperature feature. I do wish the night vision was a little more clear but over all I highly recommend this camera if you’re not looking for a wifi based baby monitor.

Great monitor. Night vision allows you to clearly view baby. I love that the sound can be turned off on the parent unit. Important note, camera needs to be close (5 to 6 ft) to baby to see detail. We started with it across the room (small room) and you couldn’t see detail and it was blurry.
