Web Development and Design Foundations with HTML5 (7th Edition): 9780133571783: Computer Science Books @ desertcart.com Review: Thorough, Easy to Understand Beginner Programming - This textbook is easy to understand, and laid out in a logical manner. It is packed with lots of practice problems with step-by-step instructions to allow the student to code their very own web pages. The answers to review questions found at the end of each chapter reinforce learning and help the student know if they are grasping the concepts. Although I am new to coding, this information seems up-to-date and current. A friend who is an experienced programmer confirms that information is thorough and correct. I would recommend this book for the beginner-level programmer who wants to really dive into HTML and CSS. Review: Good book to get your feet wet - The book provides a good overview of using HTML5 and CSS for beginners however it would be useful to provide a glossary of terms. It is also not apparent what attributes can be used on a particular element unless working through one of the hands-on activities. This makes it difficult to use a quick reference.

A+ textbook!
Fantastic textbook that makes information easy to understand. I've bought quite a few web design textbooks in my day, and this is by far one of my favorites! (And for those of you who are students like myself, if you're wondering if it comes with the access code, it does!) edit: As I read further, I'm starting to notice the many spelling errors. It's distracting and a bit of an annoyance. While I'm glad I got a good deal on the textbook, I would hope that they would have gotten a better editor.

Great book for a beginner programmer but more difficult concepts can be found elsewhere!
This textbook goes in to great detail that makes it easy to understand to someone who has little to no web development experience. It covers all the concepts that would be crucial to learning the basics of web development. That being said, it's only for beginners and more difficult concepts cannot be found in this book. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, as it could be used more for homework for a beginner programmer rather then someone more experienced.

Great book, mediocre accessibility.
This is a very clear text, and works extremely well as a corresponding piece to the Web Design class I am taking (college level). The written instructions are very clear and come with multiple illustrations. I would recommend this book for any HTML5 coder, beginner or advanced. The only reason that I did not give this book a 5 star review is its inaccessibility on the PC Kindle App. I bought this book (discounted with Amazon Prime) electronically for my 6" Kindle HD. While this book reads beautifully on my kindle, it is not available on the Kindle app function for my PC, which runs Win. 8.1. This is very disappointing in a book I paid $75 (approx.) dollars for.

Great book
It's a great book for those people looking to delve into HTML and CSS. I got it for a school course, but it would be a good buy for those who are self taught.

Very Disappointed
I have a Surface tablet, I had downloaded this book to use for a course I am taking at the local college. Once I downloaded it, I found out that I cannot use this with my surface or my iPhone. This is so disappointing as now I have to carry around a third device to just read my book. very very very disappointing.

The content of this book is good but it is damaged due to the poor packaging. It was inside a paper cover and nothing else was used to protect the books. It almost looks like a used book. 5 STARS FOR THE BOOK and 1 STAR FOR PACKAGING!
