PackersPine Tar Soap, 3.3 Ounce

I’m currently 39 weeks pregnant & my skin begin to itch really bad due to hormones. In particular I broke out in these little rashes on my womb that covered my stretch marks. After using the soap the first day I noticed the inflammation on my skin settled. By the second day the rash and the stretch marks Disappeared. I would highly recommend this to any mama who is pregnant and experiencing itchy skin, rashes or inflammation. Like others have said the smell of the soap isn’t the best. So I would recommend covering the soap after using it. The smell doesn’t stay on my skin after I shower.

I just finished up a body wash bottle which took about 9 months. Bar soaps usually last longer so going to try that for a while too. I love camping and nature type smells. This smells like burned pine from a campfire. I wonder if I can find it in a cologne form?I have medium oily skin and it works fine with no residue after washing. So if you would like your shower to smell like a campfire for a few minutes check this one out.I dont see myself buying any other brand soaps in the future. If I find something I like I stick with it. Right now my hands smell like burned pine from holding it. :)

This is pretty good soap. I'd have to directly compare, but from memory I feel like this has less of a piney campfire scent than Grandpa's brand.

It is moderately expensive for a bar. But it works !! Tried all the promoted over the counter, so called "dandruff shampoos" - they never worked for us. Finally, someone told me about "Pine Tar". I got the pine tar bar soap for dandruff (they did not make a shampoo back then). Pine tar shampoo works too, but is much more costly. Just use the bar soap like shampoo, until is runs out. It is drying and makes thick hair look puffy. So for that, you can use a small amount of hair creme rubbed on your hands & through your hair, while using this product.

The smell is horrendous. I was looking for something to compete with Dr Squatch. THIS IS NOT IT.Had to store it in the garage to get away from the odor before giving up and throwing out.The rest of the reviews on its healing properties must be true as they have been in business for a long time.BEWARE!

Smells like the Gods of campfire and teriyaki sauce went into the soap business. It's disgusting. Store it properly. I'm not joking btw,, campfire + sweet teriyaki sauce.

Now this is a true Pine Tar medicinal Soap! Has a strong Pine smell but not overpowering. Lathers better than any soap I have used Ever! Leaves my hair silky soft and my skin clean and there is no residual smell. Has mosquito repellent powers with continued use and I hope thats true as after alot of rain the last 90 days we have a bumper crop of them. Been around since 1869. Top of the Line product. So I bought this because the past year I have become EXTREMELY allergic to mosquitoes and apparently my new house is like a cesspool for them. I read on other reviews that this has helped repel mosquitoes for some. First of all the packaging is nice, it is a silver cardboard box that keeps the tar smell contained. However, as soon as you open it, you can smell the soap. It is a VERY strong soap. I have been using this for a few weeks and my entire bathroom constantly smells like this soap. It isn't technically a bad smell, but definitely not girly. The soap is brown and it does run brown in the water when you wash it off. I do not believe it leaves a strong smell once you are out of the shower though. I dry off with a white towel and I wore white and there was no brown residue on either. I still get mosquito bites everywhere, all the time. This did not work for me:(
