Bought these to replace my old smoke detectors that did not detect carbon monoxide so these were a big upgrade around the house. Easy to install.

I installed 4 of these alarms and they activated when the house became filled with smoke from a fire that was actually outside. The smoke was blowing towards the house and getting in through the eaves of the roof. The alarms activated and let us know about the carbon monoxide that was building up in the air. We were able to call the fire department and get the house vented out to a safe level after the fire was put out. One of the alarms would randomly go off after the incident so I called the customer support number and spoke to a real person over the phone instead of some robot. The guy spoke in good clear English and said that he would send us a replacement for free as the smoke most likely damaged one of the alarms. About 2 weeks later the alarm came and is working just fine. I am testing one of them out with using rechargeable NIMH 9 volt batteries in an effort to reduce battery waste pollution and so far it is working just fine.

I did a double-take when I saw the price on this smoke / CO detector -- I think I was anticipating that it would be in the $10-$30 range. However, my most home-improvement-savvy friend said that Kidde was the best brand, so here we are.Here to say it's worth it, even if you don't use the "smart" features. The ease of installation alone made this an excellent purchase.

Plug and play. No difference from our current smoke/CO detectors.

After 10 years 1 of my alarm was done. I had ordered a few different ones , but then looked at the model # and this was the same as the old ones. I just wanted to connect the wires that were already in place...This was it!!!

Replaced a 10 year old smoke detector. Don't understand why they are only good for 10 years

Our existing smoke and CO detector expired. Needed a new one but couldn’t find any in stock anywhere. Ordered this one and received it next day and installed it in 2 min. It even came with a battery. I loved that the wiring hadn’t changed with the newer model. They must be replaced ed every 10 years so it’s good to have same wiring

Nothing to dislike, plug and play 100% easy and functional

It was very easy to install. We were replacing the old one and it was just a matter of installing the battery and screwing it onto the base from the previous detector.Came earlier than expected.

it appears to be a more recent model for fire , smoke and carbon monoxide detection.it also comes with a battery that is already positioned in case of a power failure.it is a hard-wired product.
