The Brain: An Illustrated History of Neuroscience (100 Ponderables)

Having read all of Tom Jackson's Ponderable series, I found The Brain to be the most unexpectedly enjoyable. I believe it is, like others in the series, limited by the cap of 100 ponderables per book, but I also believe this choice was intentional on Jackson's part in order to generate interest and curiosity in the reader. If you have even a tiny bit of interest in learning about neuroscience, do yourself a favor and dig into The Brain. You might find more than you expect.

Don't expect too much content from this book. Nice publishing job, but little more than that.

I was surprised to not be able to find the usual information re date of publication on the cover or inside pages ?? When was this book written?

E' un ottimo volume per la didattica e per chi si accosta alle neuroscienze. Mancano capitoli sulle malattie da prioni , AIDS ed alcune demenze. Mancano infine quasi completamene le neuroscienze di base.
