Nice solid feel to it. Good looking finish. Allows upgrading of stems easily. Only thing is package was already opened and product show signs of use as shown in the pictures. One star only as it was advertised as new.

This is adapter is a pretty trick way to update an older bike. Was a nice addition to my 80's road bike project. Almost 5 stars and certainly would be if one of two things was prominently mentioned in the description or one design change was made.On a bike with down tube shifters it'd be just about perfect. It's solid, easy to install and looks good. However, on a bike with stem mounted shifters you will have to relocate the shifters which will quite probably require more purchases. Not a big deal and creates a reason for more wrenching so probably not a big deal if you are expecting it.If the adapter was longer or made with shifter lugs it would also work without the need for relocating. Again, not a big deal and offers a reason to try bar end or other types of shifters on your updated bike.All in all it's a very solid product I will buy again as well as recommend to others.

I thought this was going to be a direct replacement to the 1" quill, but it needed a shim for it to work correctly with the 1 1/8" stems. I have installed both and they work great. Was trying to avoid the use of the shim, but everything functions as it should. Fit & quality are tops!!!

This is just what I needed to update to more modern handlebars on my Classic Coppi frame. It is lighter weight than most of the others on the marked but still at a reasonable price.

Needed a shim which was not indicated on the description. Other than that, excellent.
