Ebba-Viva Fairisles: Veritas (Pirates of Felicity Book 5)

The further we get into the series, the faster the pace goes. There is no slowing this journey down now.With every book, we continue to see more of Ebba's growth. I'm so proud of how far she has come. She went to a pirate not a female, to willing to accept that maybe being a female isn't all that bad and giving romance a chance.She's not the only one growing and changing. Her fathers are taking steps toward healing which is wonderful to behold. Jagger and Caspian have their own struggles too, while still being there for Ebba in their very different ways. Jagger continues to be my favorite of the series. He's faced some really rough situations and survived. We get to see another side of Grubby too.We also get more mythical creatures. A new part which has causes some huge revelations. Last of all, the crew faces some real adversity which leads to the end of the book in one dozy of cliffhanger.Bring on book 6!

The action continues from the moment the first page is revealed and doesn't end, extending beyond the cliffhanger. I felt invested in Ebba-Viva's life from the first time I met her, and I can't help but be surprised at how much she matures with each new book.The more we progress through the series, the more we see what her fathers are made of. Kind and caring Caspian has become such a huge part of he life, but her heart wars between him and the rough and arrogant Jagger. And none of this even compares to the difficulty of the adventure she has forced on her family and friends. At each turn, they run into another challenging circumstance that has her wondering if they'll survive, knowing, no matter what, they must keep pushing forward because it means the survival of the world.This author's characters are a mix of charm, wit, and humor along with an evil that is consuming. Just when I think I know what direction she's taking us, she throws in a wrench that changes everything. This one is full of them, and that cliffhanger is a heart-stopper. This continues to be one of my favorite series', and I'm looking forward to the next chapter in these characters' lives.

LOVED this. The last book ended with quite the cliffhanger, so Veritas (#5) picked up from there and never slowed down. The last book was a little less action-focused, but St. Clare brings back the action fiercely here and somehow keeps up the deep introspection and character growth from book 4. It was super well-balanced in that respect - and when you combine that balance with all of the story arcs starting to weave more tightly together and yield the fruit we’ve patiently, patiently awaited.....it’s just so satisfying :)

Book 5 was a struggle to get through. Ebba's poor decision making is constant, her naivete increasingly irritating. Conceptually, I am not overly find of stories that have a young, naive woman being protected or led around by a man or group of men. Ebba's story is all about that, and while she gains knowledge and worldliness, the pace is too slow. Her pirate speak undermines her because she sounds dumber than she is. I think I prefer characters with more polish and maturity, which is why Ebba is hard for me to like. The author remains true to her, and the writing is excellent; I just can't stand Ebba most of the time.

I am loving how this story unfolds!Our gang is off for adventure finding another piece to battle the Pillars but there is trouble on the high seas. You will have to read to find out exactly what befalls the crew of the Felicity but it is so worth every page. Sometimes long series have lulls in the middle where time is wasted to simply further the story but this story is action packed all the way through. The characters keep growing, learning and changing and the adventure keeps you on your toes through the whole book. I can't wait to see what happens next.I received an ARC for an honest review but have and will purchase all of these books.

My heart is totally filled right now. This book turned out soooo good!!! Sad but good. Matey's part totally killed me! Lol and don't get me started on Jagger. Fudging love that arrogant dude! #TEAMJAGGERSorry Casp you cant compete with that sexy F!But man that ending has me on such a book hangover!! How will I wait??! But great books take time. 🖤 Thank you Kelly for dragging me out of the sad juju going on with my family with the fun adventures of Viva!

WHY DID IT STOP THERE???Evil. So. Damn. EVIL.MY SHIP. MY SHIP HAS HOPE AND NOW THIS BOOK IS FINISHED. I. Need. More. Now.The last two books are going to be so good. I’m still nervous, but I need to see how this series finishes.

Each book in this series is getting better, tons of suspense, romance and adventure! Ebba-viva and her crew are complex, fun characters., I feel for all of them. I highly recommended this to anyone who likes a brave and captivating heroine leading the show.

Wow what an adventure of a series this is and I'm loving every minute of it. Ebba, Jagger, Caspian and her father's have all grown and developed so far from how they were in book one. All of them are now starting to build a closer bond and I'm enjoying how we're seeing that grow and develop. Veritas definitely has some shockers happen for the crew throughout this book and the ending is just WOW! I'm slightly afraid about what might happen to everyone! There are some developments in Ebba's relationships with both Caspian & Jagger in this book, I for one am glad of the direction it's going in, but I won't say who's team I'm on as that may give away spoilers. I really am loving this series more and more with each book that's released, I don't even want to think about how close we could be to the end as I don't want it to finish. Veritas is definitely a five star read and I'm really, really looking forward to book six.

Veritas is the latest instalment in this epic fantasy series and it’s another heart stopping tale filled with adventure and plot twists. I loved being back on board The Felicity with Ebba and her crew, I’ve fallen in love with the characters in this series, their relationships are so wonderfully written and there is real depth and history between them. There’s a hell of a cliff hanger at the end and it’s left me with quite the book hangover! I cannot wait to see how the crew deal with this!! 5 stars 😁 Be sure to check out the map for the new additions!!

This has to be my favourite book in the series so far, Ebba and her crew are gaining the rest of the pieces they need to stop the Pillars and they make friends with a Kraken along the way.I don't want to ruin it for others but I think it's clear who Ebba is going to be with when it comes to Jagger and Caspian and yay happy dance for that!

Suite des aventures d'ebba. Histoire et personnages toujours aussi attachant mais j'ai trouvé que l'histoire traînait en longueur sur une grande partie du livre. Tout s'active et se précipite à la fin,il va falloir donc patienter pour connaître la suite!
