Compatible with KitchenAid"C" Shape Dough Hook

It works great. Bread and pizza doughs used to creep around the small guard on the regular dough hook, sometimes going all the way up to the mixer's head. This thing stopped it for a reasonable price.

I got this for my wife along with all kinds of mixer attachments, by far this little piece of plastic was her favorite thing in the world, it made cleanup super easy. She’s used it religiously for the past 2 years I got it for her in 2024. Literally 5 minutes ago she was mixing more bread dough and it exploded, it was always hand washed, needless to say it was torcher tested daily for 2 years, kept the dough from crawling up the hook and made the wife happy, so figured I’d give you guys a thumbs up prior to ordering another one, we’ll see you 2028!

After opening the box, I thought this was way over-priced for what it is. I figured I give it one try first. It actually works on my KitchenAid mixer quite well especially when mixing a stiff sourdough dough. I still think it’s over-priced, but I’m keeping it now.

I purchased this as a gift for my partner who often mixes dough for homemade bread in our hand-me-down Kitchenaid stand mixer. First things first, this part fits perfectly and is easy to snap in place! It is also super easy to clean in the dishwasher. Secondly, it DOES work. Rather than having to scrape climbing tendrils of dough off the mixer blade attachment every few seconds, it's much easier to simply poke down the larger globs of dough as they crest this shield. It keeps unsightly (if edible) mixer grease out of our dough and makes the kneading process a little more hands-off. However, this would absolutely benefit from being a little wider. It's like the designers stopped just short of a REALLY useful product! For the price, this is still a great stocking-stuffer gift for bakers in your life, but I would be eager to invest in a version 2.0 with a wider shield to make this even more helpful.

Does what it says. Prevents the dough from going up the hook. Easy to use and clean. Seems sturdy.

I usually do large batches of enriched bread and was struggling to keep it down on the hook while kneading. Lost two batches to dough creep (one of which did its second proof in the compost bucket) because they got mixed with machine oil and gunk while kneading. This thing prevents dough wedgies up in the attachment spring. Big fan as a bread baker.

I used this on my dough hook this week for making pizza dough. It really worked great for keeping the dough down off the upper portion of the hook. For the price it works good, it's easy to clean and appears to be really durable. I would definitely recommend it.

Until someone told me about it, it’s the mixer tool I didn’t know I needed. Dough climbing can be so frustrating. And I’m always so afraid of it getting inside my mixer. This thing has me covered. And it pops off to go in the dishwasher after.

this works very well for not allowing dough to move up the hook. I do think it is over priced for what it is. It cleans up well and seems strong so I expect it to last, just think it could be cheaper.
