This is fantastic tool to have if you are like me and have the skill sets to repair your own car. I had a issue with the battery on my car where it would randomly not start the vehicle. With this i was able to determine their was no amp drawer on the car and it was the battery at fault. It is easy to use and the screen is easy to read, great value for the money and saved me from forking out garage bills to get the car diagnosed

The unit feels well-built, the readings are accurate, and the selection of modes is just what you’d need. It's as good as models costing ten times as much.

All readings are accurate and the functions it includes are very handy. It's completely replaced my old standard multimeter, as it does everything that did and more. Current readings are accurate, but for measuring DC current, you have to give it about half a minute for the reading to stabilise before you zero it and clamp a cable into it. Once you give it a chance and do it properly it gives readings with a good level of accuracy. Only complaint is that the beeping with the mode selection and button pressing is annoying, I'd like to see if I can hack a mute switch into it.

I bought this to check the dc amps on my stick welder as I suspected the welder display was not accurate (it wasn’t). However this clamp meter has now replaced my normal multi meter in mobile tool kit. This is because it does everything my old meter does as well as the very useful ac voltage and dc current via the clamp ring. This is very useful when tracing no one start electrical faults on vehicles, clamp kit round the power or earth cables and drill down to where your problem is, without having to interrupt the circuit. I read a previous review where someone said you cannot zero the dc clamp reading, you can, you just have to press the “range” button, not the “rel” button like it says in the manual (there isn’t a “rel” button). The only thing you can’t really do with this meter is trace parasitic drawers as the resolution at the miliamp scale is not good enough. You need a low amp clamp meter for that. But for everything else, it’s great.

Nice item that does everything it says it should. Worth remembering that the clamp ammeter can only measure amps when it fits around a single insulated wire - not the typical plastic white/black insulated cable often found at home that carries all three wires (i.e. live, neutral, earth). In such cases it will not work (reads zero) unless you can get access to the single 'live or neutral' insulated wire. Google/YouTube 'Clamp Ammeters' to learn more.
