For someone who has a hunting rifle that they’d like to try out for distance, but need to increase the length of pull so that they can shoot it prone or from a bench, this little kit just might do the trick. I tried a number of options and found this one to be the best. As far as the others, the rubber slip-on cuff styles either added too much length or were made of questionable materials that didn’t seem very durable. And as far as the other fabric-style slip-on cuffs went, they also were either poorly made and/or didn’t afford the right amount of adjustment. This kit though is very well made, using quality materials, and is highly customizable due to the fact that it comes with four spacers of different thicknesses. When I shoot my rifle from either the prone position or a bench, the pads are very comfortable and stay put. It’s made in USA and was a nice price too.

If you own a Yildiz O/U and have figured out that the supposed "exact fit" Limbsaver doesn't fit. This is for you. After buying 2 different Limbsavers I gave up. The different pads that come with this allow you to fit to your needs. I personally put the 2nd thinnest, around 3/8" and it works perfectly. If you're needing a little LOP just step up to the next pad at around 5/8 or go for the 1". Heck if you need more than that double some up. Fit like a glove and no slippage. Doesn't seem to grab my shirt when shouldering. Absorbs some of the bite from O/U and definitely makes shooting more comfortable.

Not the quality I was expecting for the price. However, it fits great and comes with multiple sizes of pads for many combinations. My concern is durability. Seems light-weight to me.

This is the second time I've attempted to post this review - the first time was rejected, presumably because I attached a photo of the product on the gun. News flash for Amazon reviewer censors: this device that you're selling is for use on firearms, so if you want us to attach photos to the review, they're going to have a firearm in them.Anyhow, I have a Turk-made Weatherby 20-ga pump that was a real value and works well, but the recoil pad is too long and grabby for my wife to use. The factory pad is kind of excessive - it's not as if a 20 needs a whole ton of recoil absorption. I bought this Beartooth recoil pad kit thinking that I might be able to make the gun work for my smaller-framed wife.I took the factory recoil pad off the hollow plastic Weatherby stock, filled the hollow with non-squishy foam that I had out in the garage, then inserted one of the thin Beartooth foam pads over the stock's screw trees (to provide a base for the external recoil pad). I put a medium Beartooth foam pad over the back of the stock and slipped the neoprene sleeve over the stock. The Beartooth recoil pad kit worked great: LOP is down to where the gun is useful for my wife, the Beartooth pad makes the gun's recoil perfectly bearable, the neoprene sleeve cushions the cheek but does not stick or grab at clothing. Fast to shoulder, doesn't hurt to shoot: this is just a dandy set-up.The Beartooth recoil pad set seems well made - it doesn't look like the stitching on the sleeve is going to let loose, and the sleeve stretches fine to slide over the stock. The foam pads are better than expected. The price is fair - not astonishingly great or anything. And the comfort is better than expected.I like it!

I installed this on my Henry 45-70 because its brass butt plate thumps my shoulder without mercy. I am amazed at how well this pad works! I used the 1/2" insert, which adds to the overall length of pull. Although I cannot articulate the amount of recoil reduction this pad offers, it has to be at least 40%, which is very significant. This pad is well worth the $23 investment. I also like the fact that it's made here in America. I can recommend this pad without reservation of any kind. Great job, folks!

the fit was perfect for my Henry BigBoy with brass but plate. I needed a recoil pad but plate for my 45-70. it came with 3 different size recoil pad. the cushions can add length of pull. I am currently using only the thickest one. then cuff fit this rifle properly it is tight enough to hold the pad in place and it is not too long as to cover sling stud. it stays in place very well but is still fairly new. I does not seem to move around, I was worried it might wear ion the wood stock but does not at this time. The price even dropped a few bucks since I purchased this

I was trying to mitigate shoulder/cheek hit and drop the comb of the gun as my eye was a bit high on the barrel. I have a mossberg silver reserve II 12 gauge. This fit perfectly and with the biggest and second smallest pad the fit of the gun is perfect. The pads stay in place very well. Shooting is so much more comfortable and my accuracy has increased off the charts. I think the accuracy increase is partly because the gun fits me better and partly because I have no flinch now. Previously the buttstock would pound my cheek and my shoulder, neither happen now.
