Sauder County Line 4-Drawer Chest (Soft White finish)

So excited to add this to the rest of my Sauder furniture that matches. It is cheaply made but you get what you pay for. Nothing is great quality furniture when it is $250. Looks good and works well so I am fine with it!

When complete it is a beautiful, and heavy, dresser. It takes time to put it together. It took me about 7 hours, so if you're in a hurry it's not going to go well. Instructions are very clear. I was concerned about the negative reviews concerning the drawers, and there are issues, but they can be dealt with. 1. I didn't put the back on until the drawers were in and aligned. 2. The drawers have two ways they can be adjusted. The glides on the drawers can be moved up or down as necessary. I assembled all my drawers with the screw at the top position. The pieces that hold on the drawer fronts can be moved up, down, in or out, so if the drawer front is hitting on the left side of the dresser frame you would want to adjust those hangers to move the drawer front to the right. I was able to get the bottom three drawers in perfectly with minor adjustments. The top drawer needed both glide adjustment, and front adjustment, but the finished product is exactly as pictured in the product description. 3. I also used some WD- 40 on the glides when I was done I wiped it off with a paper towel to remove dust, and construction residue. The drawers slide perfectly. So, it is a pain putting this together, but if you have patience and are persistent it can be done.

Like any sauder furniture it isn’t going to last forever based on the actually sturdiness. But for a “right now” inexpensive piece it’s fine. It’s smaller than I thought it would be but it’s serving the purpose so overall happy with the purchase. Only issue is the sides are only stabilized by a cardboard backing, which would be better if it were a solid piece like the rest of the sides/top/bottom. The drawers slide in and out nicely and are deeper than I anticipated so i was able to put more in them. Also, there is a wood brace under all the drawers so they will not bow as easily as some “build-yourself” dressers (like the kind you get for $100 at Walmart) so that is a plus. Able to fit a 32” flat screen TV on top so it’s great size for a bedroom. Would be perfect for a child’s room/teenager/college age bedroom. I’m 4’9 and it comes about chest/shoulder height for reference. It was easy to assemble, decent instructions. Altogether took about 1.5 hours to build. Also comes with kit to anchor to the wall if using for a kiddo. Would definitely purchase again, as of immediate review—we’ll see how long it holds up!

I already owned the L shaped office desk in this brand and color, and decided to get this matching chest of drawers. I love the durable finish on these and the quality is great! It’s pressed wood like a lot of furniture is now days, but it’s very strong and well built. Assembly took me about 3 hours.

After 3 wks the top rim of the drawers started to peel. After 2 months the metal on one of the door tracks bent and the drawer wouldn't open or close. The top of the drawer has since broken. It looks nice and the drawers slide nicely but it is not sturdy for children. I would have expected at least a year of function for the price. It only gave us 2 months. It took 2 hours to assemble. I wish this could have worked for us. We can't return it either based off the policy. Even if we could return it, it would be time consuming to disassemble and repackage.

I bought this dresser for our 4 yr. old because I liked the height and width of it for the size of the bedroom. It’s definitely more gray than the stock photo would lead you to believe but I can tolerate the color. Aesthetically, it is a clean and simple design. I like the black farmhouse style hardware. Functionality is rather poor. The drawers do not glide in and out smoothly and the top one gets stuck when pushed almost all the way in so you have to give it a decent shove to get it to close flush. My husband has put together several furniture pieces from IKEA and Target and he said this piece was awful. It took him 2 hours, the directions are useless and he had to rework the drawer configurations to get them to even all fit. Although the price point is decent for this economy, I’d recommend paying for better quality.

This dresser is pretty, and very sturdy. I put it together by myself but it took about 4 hours. I would recommend two people assemble this, one build the body of the dresser while the other builds the drawers.

Was searching for a decent size dresser and stumbled on this one. It’s pretty sturdy and good quality. It takes a bit of time to put together but what’s the rush? The only thing I’d fault it for is for the back piece. Could have provided a sturdier piece of board. Current one is flimsy but overall, I like.
