Excellent workmanship; tough rubber armor; the finest optics I've ever looked through. Wide-angle view @7X50; so much better than the overrated and glorified 'Steiner' brand. All the digital functions are accurate: thermometer, barometer, tilt, etc. This piece of wonder is professional grade-- for the true mariner! If you want super clear, crisps and accurate view of your subjects or objects out there at sea, or if you are trying to identify a 'visual contact' on the horizon---THIS IS THE REAL DEAL! Pricy as it is but it's all well worth it. Thank you Amazon, Thank you Minox.

I bought these to replace my older Fujinon 7x50 binos with built in analgue compass. Although I have not tried them on my boat yet. I have viewed the LED digital compass and borometric pressure etc. Having a digital display is certainly an improvement. The 3volt battery to power the display is larger than the two button batteries in my Fujinon binos which tended to have to be replaced at least once per season. The current drain should be less. Th eprice compared to the Steiner equivalent is quite a lot less. I am very pleased with them so far.I think maybe the addition of a flotation strap to assist floating if they fall overboard would be a good idea!!

Optik : Minox , da gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Der Autofokus war für mich gewöhnungsbedürftig, die Einstellung erfordert etwas Zeit und Feingefühl als an meinem alten Fernglas mit Fokus Rad.Kompass : Passt, habe ich anhand mehrerer Fixpunkte mit dem sehr präzisem SUUNTO Tandem getestet, ebenso die Tilt Funktion passt.Barometer und Temperaturanzeige brauch ich nicht, da es nicht auf See zum Einsatz kommt, aber netter Schnickschnack.Gewicht : Schwer und griffig, gefällt mir.Der Einzige Kritikpunkt :Der Kompass muss oft kalibriert werden, selbst wenn das Teil an einem fixen, relativ magnetfeldfreiem, Standort verwendet wird - teils mehrmals täglich

Zu den Funktionen und der Qualität bleibt obigen Rezensionen kaum etwas hinzuzufügen. Die Optik ist absolut prima und das Glas fühlt sich auchqualitativ hochwertig und sehr griffig an.Zu bemängeln habe ich allerdings, dass die Anzeige auf Stufe 5 tagsüber gerade sichtbar ist, während sie auf der niedrigsten Stufe 1 nachts noch zu hell ist. Bei Neumond (dunkelstem Himmel) überwiegt die Hintergrundbeleuchtung der Digitalanzeige so dermassen dass man vom Gesamtfeld der Anzeigenelektronik geblendet ist und den eigentlichen Horizont nur noch schwer ausmachen kann. Zum Beobachten muss man also jedesmal die Anzeige abschalten. Ein Anpeilen eines Schiffes am Horizont bei stockfinsterer Nacht ist nur schwer möglich.Allgemein bemängele ich bei all diesen Gläsern mit integriertem Kompass, dass, konstruktionsbedingt mit Technik in der rechten Optik, und grösserem Augenabstand ausserhalb des "Norm-Menschen", die Anzeigen immer schräg im Bild stehen. Hier sollte man in Richtung einstellbaren Horizont der Anzeige weiterentwickeln.
