Q: What is the warranty on this product?

not sure of company warranty...I walk Great Pyrenees on these leashes and one will usually last 1-1 1/2 yr without incident

Q: Where is the size chart?

After answering this question, I noticed that the size might also relate to the part you hold in your hand. If you look at specifications at the bottom of the page, you can see a visual size difference. Plus, the small shows that the leash is only 10 ft long whereas the others might be 16 ft. It would help if they were more specific rather than us having to guess.

Q: Will I absolutely get the new version? The exact one shown on the description? I don't want the old version.

I wasn't aware there were old and new models, but I got the same as is shown on the photos.BTW... this leash is noticeably heavier duty than those models I've had previously. My dog is just over a year old and 38 lbs , and she likes to pull a lot on walks. By the numbers, this leash is the one I need for her weight/size, but it seemed like overkill for our big puppy. Well made and holding up well as our primary leash several times each day for months.

Q: Can you help me decide between cord and tape? Does the tape rewind as easily as the cord? Does it wear as well? Thanks!

Cord lasts longer and does not stick in the mechanism. The tape is flat and twists around necessitating taking the unit apart and rewinding by hand after getting out the kinks. Yes the cord can cut your hand if you try to use your hand to grab the cord instead of using the brake built into the handle but so can the tape to a lesser extent. This should only be an issue if you are not paying attention to your dog and surroundings. If your dog is small and under 15-20 pounds the tape should be OK but for any active dog over 20 pounds the cord in my opinion is the way to go.
