Rapala 6 1/2 Stainless Steel Pliers

I've had many pairs of pliers on the saltwater boat for decades. I have one pair that's 15 years old and a new pair. What makes these pliers great is that the hinge doesn't gum up with corrosion and seize.Yes - there is a little surface corrosion on the teeth section on the old pair - but they still work great.No - I don't take particular care of them either.

As others have stated, the fit and finish is a little lacking. For the price they aren't bad, and I buy cheap pliers because salt water seems to kill them regardless of price, and i often lose them at night. If you like high end gear, this isn't for you, but if you are value minded and sometimes careless these are worth considering

Nice fishing pliers. Initial impressions: Comfortable, solid, well made. I’ve only used them for a week or so beach fishing so we’ll see how they hold up long term.

Purchased from Amazon and given in conjunction to a Rapala digital scale, as a gift for a fishing enthusiast. Stainless steel construction was specifically chosen for durability and function in poor environmental conditions including wet/damp location storage and possible salt water exposure. Lubrication still valuable to ensure continued easy operation.

Love these lil pliers! A need for every tackle box

A sturdy pliers for removing hooks and other odds and ends. Split ring feature is handy in the field.

I ordered these stainless steel pliers to minimize the rust issue common with regular pliers when fishing. However, these "stainless steel" and "rust resistant" pliers as advertised by Rapala rusted up as quickly as regular non stainless steel pliers. And I did rinse off the pliers with fresh water after use and did my part, but still I can only shake my head at the lack of rust resistant performance.
