Great cameras, just wish they were a bit faster on detection
Over the last few years, I've purchased 4 of these cameras, all Reolink. I do really like the clarity of the images, and these cameras' durability. I have an older one (2MP), and have since gotten more 3 of these upgraded versions. They have improved, however, as with most security cameras, they don't pick up the recordings as fast as they should. After dark (or even in the daytime), when motion is detected, the camera's security light comes on (at night only) instantly, but the recording doesn't start until a second or 2 afterwards (day and night). By that time, the object has moved out of frame. This is an issue with many security cameras, but, from some of the others I've tried, and for the price, this is the best I've found. The solar panels make these completely standalone and electrical wire-free, as well as worry free too. I like the immersive option on the APP, that lets me see all 4 camera images on a single frame on my phone. Setup is fairly easy, but even easier if you're adding to an existing setup. Initially, on my first setup, I had to lower a security option on my router setting to get these to work outside of my home Wi-Fi (I noted the setting in a previous review for the older 2MP model, but can't remember which option it was, I will try to find it, and add it later to this review). Once that option setting was set to a lower level, I was able to see the camera's views wherever I was when away from home. If the router setting was set to high, I could only see the camera views from my home Wi-Fi, which is not ideal when away from home. Overall, I think these are very good cameras for the price. They come with multiple ways to mount them too. If they correct the record on detection issue to make it faster to begin recording, I'd give them a 6 star review.

Fantastic Camera, but it did not work on my network.
For the money I think RIO Link is the best value on the market for wireless cameras. The ability to record an automatic custom voice has worked well to send door-to-door salesmen away every time. One time I saw a young teenage in sunglass run away as soon as they heard the recorded voice. I have successfully installed 9 of the Argus cameras at my house and my sister’s house relatively easily; however, this updated version of the Argus 3 camera with 2.4/5.4 GHz dual band, did not work on my Verizon 5G Home Internet. I spent 4 hours reading troubleshooting guides and making modifications to my router. After 30+ attempts I gave up. It did work instantly on my son’s cable network, so I decided to give to him instead of returning it because his Argus 2e had recently stopped working after a big rainstorm. It works great for him.I purchased this new Argus 3 unit to replace a three-year-old legacy unit that finally stopped working. I tried everything to get the new unit to work. I attempted hooking It up to Self-Organizing Networks (SON) countless times (I did most of my attempts 3-4 feet from the router). I also spit my network into two separate SSIDs (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and tried each band separately many, many time and it never work. As recommended by the trouble shooting guides, I also made sure I was using the correct WEP security settings (no success again). It could be there is an issue with Verizon 5G home network and the dual ban version of newer Argus cameras. Note I do have 18 smart home devices hooked up to my network (some are 5GHz other are 2.4GHz). I was able to find the older 2.4GHZ Argus for this exact model on Amazon and just received it. I hooked up the older model in less than 3 minutes! All of my older 2.4 GHZ Argus cameras are working perfectly on my current Verizon network.I strongly recommend these cameras. The only thing I would suggest is that if you happen to have Verizon 5G home internet, be sure to set it up as soon as possible to remain within the return window. I know this camera works as my son had zero problems with his network. Also be sure to purchase a new Micro SD card as it seems to be required to set up the newer model Rio Link cameras.

A really great system so far
Updating to one star. The app almost never works. If I hear something in my alley and try to check the camera, 9/10 times it says it can't connect. Checking what its recorded isn't any better. It always fails to load playbacks. I also can never get anything to load on a computer even though they claim I should be able to. For the cost of the cameras, it's super disappointing how often I can't even connect to them.I upgraded to these cameras from Arlo cameras. I love that I don't need a subscription to view any recorded content (although you will need an SD card) and the picture quality on these is WAY better. Almost no delay on these from when the motion sensor is triggered to when my phone gets notified. It's also really nice to be able to adjust the camera angle in real time. I don't have to move it and wait for the app to catch up before adjusting it again. The big downside for me is the interface. I feel like maybe the app could be set up a little better to make it easier to navigate. I also wish there was an online portal I could use from a computer. I've read I should be able to enter in the camera IP address and view recordings through a web browser, but so far I haven't been able to get that to work. I always get a message saying the site can't be reached. It also seems to be a little hit and miss to get the playback videos to load on the app. Usually the first time I try it says it failed to load. So far it comes up after refreshing it at time or two. You'll need a REALLY good internet connection to get this to work. My internet kind of sucks, which so far doesn't seem to have hindered the cameras themselves, just the app. I can use it over cellular data and it usually works pretty well, albeit a little slow.Overall though I'd definitely recommend these. The picture quality is great, set up is easy, and no subscription service is require to run basic functions.
