Festool Folding Rule

First metric ruler .. great ruler.

i kinda just wanted to buy something Festool and i could afford this. I even wrote them a letter asking for a sustainer for it.(i'll update if i get one)Seriously... it is a well made & easy to read & sturdy folding ruler. It does NOT have the slide rule you find on a carpenter's folding ruler, for making inside measurements. But if that is not a feature you are looking for, this is well priced & very accurate.Also with the Festool giant on the side, it really stands out. So it makes me smile when i see one sitting on a bench or desk in a YouTube 'maker' video. I really think it's neat when i see it & the builder, like myself, doesn't have other Festool tools. Just this awesome ruler.Festool makes high quality tools & accessories. i covet their orbital sander & dust extraction systems in particular. I have many medical limitations & with only 1-2 builds a year possible, i can't justify the expense. But...i can look at my ruler and dream. ♿Lisa🔨

It is a Stabila ruler that Festool had them stamp their name on. No complaints at all, I was excited to see “Stabila” printed on mine.Great well built metric ruler with a splash of Festool cool.

this is the most reasonably priced Festool product you can buy!

I have other folding rulers and this one is my new favorite. Obviously accurate but the hinges are appropriately tight but easy to operate. There are markings on each pivot point showing the angle the ruler is at when not fully extended, a handy extra feature.

This is my first Festool. Bought it as there are times I need metric measurements for a project that this tool folds out and stays better so the measurements are easier to make. This is easy to read. Not sure how the plastic and possibly painted surface will wear compared to some of the plain wood folding rules, however, I have been surprised how well some of this type of finish does wear.

I saw this ruler available and, of course, being a Festool product, I knew it would be well made. It is well made and works great. It's accurate and is in millimeters only, no inches on this ruler.The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the size of the ruler when it is folded up. I'm use to using a Luftkin rule with the brass extension and it's size. this thing is much longer than the ol' Luftkin. I guess that I just have to get use to the additional length.

this was a surprisingly well-built ruler. it has a nice finish with small hinges that aren't overbearing like other brands. It even has a handy little angle gauge on either end, and it is an actual festool product not some third-party product.
