When I was advised to avoid gluten I was very sad, and one of the reasons was I would miss pasta. This pasta is very good; but you must not expect it to be just like wheat pasta. For one thing, the cooking water gets quite a bit cloudier than it does when cooking wheat pasta; don't let that worry you. You must check closely to see to it that you don't under- or over-cook it; there seems to be a "sweet spot" and you have to find it (just like you do with wheat, I suppose). It seems to be very important to rinse it once you drain it. I use it in making an Italian antipasto salad, and as a base for a pasta sauce. The main thing I have had to learn is how to use it in soup. If you cook it in the soup, it will fall apart and dissolve into the soup. I usually just cook it separately, and add it to the soup when I serve it. I refrigerate the leftover soup and pasta separately and only combine when I reheat them.This pasta does have a lentil flavor so it is not quite as bland as wheat pasta, but it is delicious. Also, the bright color does fade upon being cooked, but not completely; it still is pale orange when cooked. I include these details because using and eating this kind of pasta was a first for me, and others may have questions or wonder about some of these things.

I love the fact that there are healthy pasta alternatives on the market, but won't even eat or try the pasta. The order I received in the mail wasn't even in a sealed/closed bag when I opened up the box. Talk about a huge disappointment and a big loss of $50 that I spent on this order because there is no return policy for this item.

The Bentilia Red Lentil Rotini is excellent. I have made the rotini with just EVOO, parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes, and with just tomato sauce. I have also made the rotini with peas and EVOO, and with peas and pink salmon and a little EVOO. This rotini provides the base for a quick and nutritious meal. I should also personally like to thank the Bentilia company for putting the vitamin K value per serving on its label. Millions of of people with heart problems who are on either Coumadin or its generic name of Warfarin have to monitor their amount of vitamin K intake daily; Bentilia is one of the few companies that realizes the importance of listing said vitamin k value per serving on its label, thereby attracting new customers to their superb product

This stuff is amazing. Unlike its cousin, gluten free pasta, it holds an amazing texture through cooking and even when reheated for leftovers. Try that with even the best GF pasta you can find.Taste is far superior to not just GF but any pasta I have had,with pasta in Italy being an exception. So, go to Italy for the best pasta, or order this stuff here.Oh, and for diabetics like me, this stuff does mildly affect your blood sugar, but nowhere near as bad as with wheat or standard GF pastas.7/9/17- we just went to reorder and saw the price increase from $39 to $49. That's unfortunate. A really drastic increase that pushes this off the menu for us.

I never thought this would bother me but...The last time I ordered this pasta, it came in a number of individually wrapped 8 oz packages. Loved it. Good flavor, fine texture, etc. This time, the packaging is in one giant bag - which is fine (less waste, okay), but there's no label on it. Can't we slap a label on that? I'd like to be able to glance at the nutritional info and cooking instructions without having to google it. Nevermind the fact that a bag of unmarked noodles seems shady. The bag is literally zip tied. Won't return but probably won't purchase again.

This is some of the best gluten-free pasta I’ve had. It does not get soggy if I cook it for 30 seconds over the regular cook time. It does not hurt my stomach. It does not murder me with carbs and no fiber. It does not cost five dollars for a box that would not fill up my dog. The only way it would be more magical would be if it did the dishes for me, but hey, that’s a pipe dream.10/10, would recommend.

This is the third time I've ordered this pasta in past few months. I just received my package and I just was absolutely SHOCKED when I opened the box to find that the plastic bag was totally opened .... NOT SEALED OR EVEN CLOSED WITH A TWIST TIE !!! As I pulled the bag out of the box 1/4 of the pasta spilled out all over the kitchen floor. OMG NOT HAPPY. To make matters worse after cleaning the pasta off of the floor and wiping with damp towel I slipped on the floor and fell. JeeshI LOVE this pasta ...... so healthy, tastes great and its not cheap so I just do not understand why they didn't seal the bag or at least close it with a twist tie.

This is the ONLY pasta I buy.For those who say it turns to mush: You cooked it too long.For those who do not like the bulk packaging: The bulk box is sealed.For those who rather have the diseases affiliated with GMO wheat: Go right ahead.There is no healthier, most delicious pasta out there. Why can't a greedy American corporation come up with this? Because It takes an Italian company to come up with such a healthy product. Keep voting against your own interests sheeple, the American food industry will send you to the hospital sooner rather than later and run up your medical bills. Exactly what the special interests want that the politicians you vote for allow.

Would have been nice to have the cooking instructions. I don't have much more to say ... and still 5 words required
