I'm very very pleased with Bentillia Lentil Penne. I didn't know what to expect. I've tried other gluten-free organic pastas from the grocery store and they were awful. This is great!! I've only used these twice. Once for mac n cheese, and the other today for stroganoff. They feel like regular pasta, they chew like regular pasta. I'm back to being able to enjoy my comfort foods again. You got to try it. Don't freak out when the water turns a little pink while cooking. I was so afraid they were gonna melt into goo like rice pasta, Nope, it comes out wonderful. This even looks nice plated in stroganoff. Who says you can't have pasta and eat it too..Thanks, Bentillia for making this amazing organic product.

Great quality organic red lentil pasta for those of us who are gluten free. Has a taste and texture similar to traditional pasta.Be advised: This pasta will cause the water to foam up and boil over during the cooking process if you don't watch it. This is common with all lentil pastas.

We absolutely adore the chickpea pasta I bought from Amazon. I thought we'd try this red lentil pasta. I finally got around to cooking some. I found the pasta to be gummy when cooked, and quite flavorless. This was extremely expensive for the quality, and not something I would purchase again.

Very healthy meal and filling. One does not go hungry after having a bit of this. Easy to cook and very nutritious.

The pasta itself was very good, with the texture and taste working very well with the sauce I made for it. I would have given five stars if cooking instructions had actually come with it. I've found that Lentil pasta is not forgiving when you overcook it, regardless of the brand. And cooking times vary so much that it should not be omitted, even in bulk packages.It was not a deal-breaker by any means, since you can easily go right to the manufacturer's site to get what you need. It just stood out because I had never used this brand previously. So if I wasn't already experienced in cooking both wheat-based and gluten free pasta, I could have easily overcooked it if I hadn't thought to go to the manufacturer's website. Or if I wasn't in a spot where an internet connection was available.Overall, a good buy decision.

As a fan of the Tolerant brand of lentil pastas, I was looking for a bulk option as the Tolerant packs are very small. I came across the bulk pack from Bentilia and gave it a go. I found the Bentilia very tricky to cook, it goes from al dente to absolute mush in seconds and produces quite a but of froth in the process of cooking. Not as bad as Banza on the froth front, but doesn't cook as clean or taste as good as Tolerant. I also didn't care much for the packaging of the bulk pack; the pasta is not sealed in commercial packaging. It's just loose in a clear plastic bag with a loosely pulled cable tie with that floating inside the shipping box. The shipping box arrived super dirty, and seeing how the product inside is not sealed off didn't make me warm and fuzzy.

Not a fan. Was gassy after wards each time trying them. I have tried two different ways of cooking because there is no directions on the package. And yea it’s one big bag in a box so have a way to store them if your going to buy them.

yes, as good as others are saying. has worked well with all my pasta sauces. best gluten free pasta i have tried so far. the packaging is weird, so i keep it in a cereal plastic container i got from the container store.
