Love it

This hat is fantastic, if you can get one that fits right! Let's start off by talking about how these hats fit. I've ordered several of the new era batting practice hats (which is what this one is), and they've all fit quite different. I had to order three of these Rockies hats just to get the right one. Sometimes the crown is different, sometimes the fit is too tout or too loose, and sometimes they just don't fit for a reason that I can't put my finger on. However, on the third try for this hat, I got a fit I liked.Now on to the good! The material is lightweight and breathable, and it really does keep your head cooler! I typically sweat a lot during the summers here, and this hat definitely decreases the amount of sweat I have while wearing hats. I also love the alternate Rockies logo, and the color scheme of this hat. All in all, it's a great new era hat when you get the right fit!Pros:-light weight-breathable and cool material-great color schemeCons:-may have to buy several to find the right fit

I bought a few New Era BP caps, including this one (I'm a huge A's fan), in order to have a new style for my wardrobe. I don't always wear hats, but I like to add a little pizazz sometimes, and this hat seemed perfect. For one, the material is super breathable, so you sweat way less. Also, it looks great (in the pictures), and I love baseball, so what more could I want? I wear my bill more on the flat side, and this hat comes with a mostly flat bill, which is nice. You can always curve it, if you want.My issues with this hat comes with the fact that not a single hat is cut the same. I ordered several, and they all fit completely different. Sometimes the crown was too high, sometimes it fit tighter or looser than I would have thought (I wear a 7 3/8, but it could fluctuate a full size up or down). Sometimes the hat just looked "lumpy", like one side of the hat was longer than the other. Some people with bigger heads might stretch out the hat better and have it fit properly, but I never felt like it fit quite right for me. I wish there was a way for New Era to standardize the hat fits, as I really liked the colors of this hat. I've found another New Era BP cap which fits perfectly, (DBacks), which I love, and would give 5/5 stars for. However, because of the inconsistency of fit for this hat, I'm giving it a 3/5 stars and I would also recommend you go to a local hat shop to try these on. You really do have to find the New Era hat that is specifically cut for your head, and that takes trying on several hats (trust me, I spent a few hours in the hat shop to find the right hat for my head).Pros:- Great material, very breathable- Love the alternate logos and color schemesCons:- Fits are inconsistent- Pricey for a hat that you may have to return

The version of this hat is actually three years old (spring training/batting practice cap from 2013), but is still my favorite. I saw an inventory of these at an Akron Rubberducks team shop but didn't want to make the trip back to Akron when I decided to purchase one. Lo and behold - Amazon PRIME to the rescue. Free shipping and arrival in just a couple of days! I now have a backup hat since my other one is breaking down a bit after 3 years! THANK YOU, AMAZON and thank you New Era for this form/version of cap. I prefer the BP/spring training ones to the game day caps in several varieties (I have Pittsburgh, Boston, and San Diego BP caps as well).

Exactly as shown in the pictures. It fitted as expected so order your usual size for this hat. The diamond pattern material/texture means the black portion of the hat is a lot lighter than you'd see on your typical cotton or polyester new era cap.

Nice breathable material. I got it for 13 bucks shipped as an add-on because it's a size 8.
