Nope
Total piece of junk..received yesterday and tried for the first time tonight. Did not spin, string just came all the way out and did not retract. For $30 was hoping for something much better. Had to give one star or would not post....

My favorite salad spinner
I was in the market for a salad spinner for a while, but I just couldn't settle with the plastic bowl options that were out there. I wanted something that I could both spin greens in, but also use as a salad bowl to serve guests. This spruce and chic salad spinner serves my needs really well, and looks great too!Before this I ordered the OXO stainless steel spinner OXO Steel Salad Spinner but ended up returning it because the spinner stopped working. Read the reviews and you will find many having the same issue. With this bowl, there are way lesser parts to clean and a simple spinning mechanism using a thread (not a complex pumping mechanism that is bound to break down after a few uses). Not to mention it is cheaper than OXO! The quality of the parts (specially the stainless steel) is also really really high. I can tell it is going to last me many years. The inner bowl is helpful not just to spin salads, but also drain pasta, wash other veggies, etc. I really love how I'm getting so much usage out of just one item - spinning salads, serving them, washing and draining other foods ALL in ONE.I've also bought items from this company before, and had really good customer service. They are very responsive and always willing to stand by the quality of their products. If you're looking for a salad spinner, go for this one and you won't regret it.
