Henschel Aussie Crushable Mesh Breezer, Khaki, XX-Large

pros -the mesh really does let the breeze come through,nicely constructed in St. Louis, MOAvailability of XXL. I have a 24" head the and XXL is just a bit big, which I prefer. XL sized hats tend to be too smallNice compromise between style and function - good sun protection and ventilation, but doesnt look as goofy as some sun hatshas some structure to the brim, doesn't sagCons- a bit heavier than some sun hats, but this the trade-off for the stiffer brim and cotton construction vs a nylon or polyester hat . Worth it to me have good looking cotton hat- not a crushable hat, I think if you stuff it in a suitcase you'll bend it up some. Perhaps it is flat packable, but it will require a pretty big space not to crush the brim. Again, a trade-off, because this hat looks better than more packable hats.The rawhide leather strap to hold in place is less comfortable than the soft, wide cotton strap on a Tilly Hat.You can certainly find cheaper hats made ex-US that are similar in design. Worth the extra few $ to buy from a company in US, but not all see value in that.

I am not really a fan of the super floppy, looking like you are going to the Kentucky derby, sun hats that are available to most women. So I was happy with this style and the fact that they had larger sizing options. I usually find the one size fits all women's hats other manufacturers make a bit tight. And I like when a sunhat falls a little lower on the head and is comfortable for all-day wear. This hat looks good if you are in jean shorts and a tshirt as well as a cute day dress. It's more expensive than I would usually purchase for a hat but the comfort and quality and fit and SPF protection makes this a daily use item for me that I'm sure I will have for at least a few years to come. Use the sizing chart to measure your head for the right fit, I found it very accurate if you want it to be a little slouchy and not too tight. :)

Great durable hat. The mesh around head sits low. So you’ll get a band tan line on forehead. Could wear higher or with a bandana. Stuffed in my back pack so many times and was still good when taken out. Only downside is that they don’t float very long if lost In Water; My reason for buying a new one every summer. Just happens that way. 4 stars for the price. Found my first one for $15 at Ross thrift store, got lucky and found perfect hat. But can only find them now for about $50. I bought 4 more since, at around $50, so guess it’s worth it, to me at least. Love these hats. They would last years if they didn’t end up 100’s of feet deep.

I love this hat. It ran just a tad bit too large, but not enough to return it. To be honest, it's nice to have a hat that fits a little big, because with my big ole melon head, that doesn't happen often. ;-) Seriously though, the quality of the hat is excellent and it is ventilated very well. I'm very impressed with it for the price. BTW - I went by the manufacturer's website for sizing. According to that I should have ordered a 3XL, but I took a chance according to several other reviews and chanced a 2XL, which ended up being a tad bit large like I said above. Still though, love this hat!

Fits great. Good air flow. Measure your skull before you order.

This was the 2nd hat of the same type that I bought hoping the shrinkage with the first was a fluke. I have a big noggin and ordered the XL. It fit great. Super comfortable loved the look. But after about a year it starts to shrink and no longer fits my head. I have never washed the hat or something that would shrink it. Frustrated at the price of the hat and the fact that this is the 2nd one to fail me.

I bought the size indicated for my head size. It is WAY too large. I measure 24-1/4", which corresponds to a Henschel 2XL according to the chart. I can almost get a finger between the hat and my head.

Love the hat and the service too. I bought this hat on Amazon in a hurry and the delivery date after the order was till 26th March, but my friend who was supposed to receive it was leaving for India (where I live) o the 25th night. I wrote a request to the company and Awesome Mike wrote back saying we have put your order in express delivery and it was received within 3 days or ordering and much before my friends departure. So big thumbs up for Aeesome Mike and the companies delivery service.As for the product itself it is very light and sturdy and fits very well. I need hats because my skin is photo sensitive and I have quite a few of these if different qualities and style and this one definitely is in the top ranks.In all very happy with the company's product and service.
