2006 - 2010 Pontiac G6 Blank Transponder Ignition Key (DIY Programming Requires 1 working key)

Would have given it 5 stars if the picture was not deceiving. I could have bought 2 blanks for $12, but went with this one as I believed I'd get one with the Pontiac logo. So a little disappointing, but the key itself works and was able to find a locksmith in my town that cut it for $6. Programming was easy, just make sure you have an original key, and that you pay attention to the orange lock icon on your dash to program. It took me less than 1 min to do.

Worked perfectly, but it did NOT have the Pontiac logo on the key, which was pictured.

The black coating is easy to scratch, but for the price it's worth it. Dealership cut it and programmed it for free, too.

Nothing is wrong with the key the only problem I have is I bought this key because it was the only one on Amazon that had the Pontiac symbol on the key and when it arrived it is a completely different key so I guess I can't be mad because I still got what I paid for but in reality I would have just bought a different key that was $5 cheaper only spent the extra money because of that Pontiac symbol

I bought 2 of these and walmart cut them for free. Program it yourself by inserting the original key into the ignition, turn ignition to see all warning lights on the dashboard, and when the lock and key light goes off take the key out. Insert the new key, turn until you see all the dashboard warning lights and when the lock and key light goes out, take the key out. The new key is now programmed. Or youtube it.

I needed a second key for my 2006 Pontiac g6 retractable hardtop. After reading all the positive comments on the transponder keys purchased from Amazon, I decided to order one. It arrived within one week, as promised. My local hardware store cut the key using the original key. I followed the 3 step instructions mailed with the new key to program the key for my vehicle. The whole programing procedure took less than 1 min. The new key then did everything that the original key does.

It's not even a Pontiac key I got a Chevy one. I'd rather it have just been blank but whatever it's just a spare.
