They lasted me a year
Bought these Jan 14th, 2023 and the left knee pad just broke on me last night. I wore these while playing airsoft during both public indoor play and competitive tournaments and they were great. After a while I noticed the left plastic pad was starting to become loose from the constant sliding which is a given. Last night it finally broke completely off. So about a year of constant playing and really beating them up, they gave out. The only downside was that they did slide down my knee after a bit of playing so I am buying another pair a size down (I had the XL, buying L next). These things never failed me up until last night. My knees were never sore or in pain no matter how hard I hit the ground. Definitely buying another pair and I would 100% recommend them to anyone trying to protect their knees.

Nice and safe!
Saved my knees a few times and worth the money! Easily added on once you get a feel for them and their sizing is good.

If you have meaty legs, choose your sizes carefully!
My legs aren't skinny, nor are they tree trunks, but it seems that these knee pads fall under the "Asian sizing" category perhaps.I measured the circumference of my knees at the middle of the kneecaps, both straight and while slightly bent, it came to 15.75" (40cm), so I ordered MEDIUM. (14.5"-16", according to both the manufacturer's sizing chart on their site, as well as the chart shown in the product images). Medium was entirely too small for my legs, but mainly because of my thighs. *My thighs, when measured approximately 4-fingers width (3") above the top of the kneecap is 18.5" in circumference. The majority of the pad's sizing would have fit just fine, if it weren't for the extremely short velcro flaps that connect behind your legs. The straps were "just about long enough", but the flaps... yeah, no. Without those flaps connecting behind my legs, I'd have to hold them in place with one hand while trying to do up the straps with the other. Although that isn't exactly the most challenging thing to do, it would likely cause these to become extremely uncomfortable as well as not stay in place as well as they should otherwise. Oh, yeah... I say that the straps were "just about long enough" because all this trying them on was done while wearing shorts. I fully intend to wear these over jeans or other such pants... while electric skateboarding.Although I probably should have ordered a size up, I don't think it would have mattered (for me) because my legs are those of an avid cyclist plus someone that's quite athletic to begin with. Based on other reviewer's comments from around the web, those with more muscular/meaty legs (like myself), going up a size wouldn't matter because those velcro flaps are simply not long enough to connect... the size of everything else would get larger, but the size of the flaps & straps doesn't, or doesn't increase in size as much as the rest of the pad's material does.Speaking of materials, and build quality... I would have to say that these ARE quite nice for the price, or even not for the price, just in general! The stitching was solid, the materials were fault-free, the plastic is thick enough to last a good amount of wipes, the padding is good enough to absorb some serious impacts, everything about these seem like they'd be excellent knee pads!To summarize: The ONLY problem I had with these knee pads is that their sizing is wonky and seemingly not intended for those with meatier/thicker legs. I'll be returning for a refund and trying a different brand, likely going to have to try several different brands & sizes to get the right ones that actually fit.

Big knees? LOOK AT THESE!
I have thick thighs and big knees I guess, what can I say? I'm blessed. I am 5'3 185 or so and wear a size 12-14 in jeans but my knees and thighs are bigger that usual, I am beginning to think. I have found myself marvelling at how tiny people's knees sometimes are! How I have never noticed this before. How hard it is to find kneepads that fit! Mine are a whole handful! I tried a few other brands of kneepads but they just didn't feel right at all. After googling kneepads for huge knees (lol) I found these. I believe they are for roller derby but I don't mind that. These are exactly what I was looking for for casual rollerskating on quad skates. Something that actually fit! They are comically large looking especially compared to the others I ordered and tried before finding these but that is a good thing! I feel safe wearing them and they protect my whole beautiful knee and the surrounding area, not just a little tip like the others I tried. They don't squeeze my thighs to death but are snug and comfortable and don't slide around or limit motion too much. I love them! I have already scuffed them up- zero injuries-didn't even feel it! They work a treat!

Love these for vert
When I moved to vert( skateboarding) learning how to fall was tricky but with these, it made it much easier as you have a lot of top and bottom padding so these won’t move around on you. Other pads would move easily and can be uncomfortable when they start to pinch the skin behind your knee. Once I found these, I had the confidence to push myself more in the bowl. Now on my second set after years of use, I will never try to use another pad again

Lower quality than 187
I bought these for my skinny 10 year old daughter because the 187 pads she has have to be slid on…and it’s annoying. These are smaller than I thought they would be and much lower quality than her cheap 187 pads, and certainly not even close to the quality or thickness as my 187 pro pads.

They fit snug and really hold up to a beating!!
I have used these at the rink for about 3 weeks and three times at a concrete skate park and I went hard and they held up. I am black and purple all over my butt and legs but these have protected my knees. My knees dont hurt and as you can see the pads have held up really well. I am super impressed by the thickness inside compared to their basic set of pads that work our really quick. I used those for a week and busted my knee so I got these on a recommendation from a derby girl. I am not at all disappointed. The only downside is something that happens with any pad. After about 4 hours in sweating and have Jean's on and have to pull them up after a collision but during the fall they are still in place. That will happen with any pads though when you sweat. I have a medium body but big calfs I got a medium and the fit really snug. I probably could have got a large. Hope this helps someone.
