Simple, great quality. Easy for beginners

This machine is great. It is quiet and the settings are easy to understand. It has several stitch options with buttonhole stitch included. However, the machine is not ideal for sewing fleece. The fleece particles get caught in the machine , causing it to be noisy and thread breaks. If you sew fleece, your project may take twice as long and you would need to purchase a lint brush to clear internal fleece particles. But overall, the machine works well.

I’ve worked with a number of machines, this is a good quality basic machine. I’ve really enjoyed working on it for my projects, it’s proven to be a good design. It’s easy to understand the function and work with. It’s not too heavy and is a nice size.

I've been sewing for 40+ years, and I own several machines including a serger, a computerized Janome, and now this sweet little machine. I bought it to use for repairs and small sewing projects at my partner's home, because I didn't want to drag my machine back and forth. I've already used it for several projects and am impressed with its sturdiness and ease of operation. It sews well and has a nice variety of stitches. It's definitely a keeper. I noticed some reviews mention it seems a bit noisy, but it's a mechanical machine--- not computerized, so the working components will be more noticeable. Couldn't be happier with it.

This is a great basic mechanical sewing machine. It is easy to use and perfect for a beginner. I like having it as a backup to my more expensive machine. It would be a great sewing machine for a child because it is as simple as sewing machines get.

Package well but the thread winder was not in the package. The machine was made cheaply . It was hard to get the bobbin plate off and couldnt wind the bobbin anyway as the thread winder was missing . For the price if u are just getting started it would b ok but they need to make sure they pack all the parts before sending. I wanted 2 use this to go to quilting retreats as it is light weight. But I didnt feel it was made well in comparison to other machines I have seen in the stores. So I returned it immediately. Next time I will purchase a machine in person .

Easily portable. functional simplicity. exceptional for beginners.

I was desperate for a sewing machine now, with a very limited budget. I know Janome is a good brand, so I thought I'd take a chance on it. Especially because I could buy it with 3 payments. It arrived in 2 days. I threaded it and had a problem that I was able to resolve. It doesn't seem to like cotton thread. It kept breaking. I changed the thread to polyester thread, which I have plenty of, and it sews beautiful! I have been able to sew for hours with no issues until my bobbin runs out, lol! I did find the light too dim, so I purchased this light strip and resolved that issue. I'm ecstatic with my little sewing machine. I don't need anything but a straight stitch for quilting. This is perfect for me. I highly recommend it. A Very Satisfied Customer!!!
