CCM Certification Made Easy: Your Guide to Passing the Certified Case Manager Exam

I purchased this book to prepare for the CCM exam that I took today...and passed! I also took the online exams on the CCM website and reviewed all CCM articles. I also have experience in several areas of case management, that helped in my passing score. The content of this book on a 100% scale prepared me for about approximately 75% of the exam. However, I read the book two times and made notes. The other approximately 25% content of the exam was NOT in this book. I also noticed some of the content was somewhat confusing especially the areas regarding functional status, the assessments related to functional assements, and who is licensed to adminster these. Therfore, I would suggest this book along with other study material to prepare for the CCM exam and not depend on this as your sole resource.

I took the CCMC exam on 12/4/2020 - The first test with the new blueprint. The CCM Certification Made Easy exam book and study guide certainly helped me prepare better than if I had nothing at all, but I don't think it is updated for the new exam as it states. I took the practice test in the back of the book the night before the exam and received a score above 90% so I felt confident going into the exam only to get wrecked. I took the full 3 hours and had to guess on many questions since they were not covered in the book material. I have no clue if I passed or not, CCM is saying it may take up to 3 months to get results with this new blueprint. For anyone considering taking the exam right now, WAIT. Let them get the kinks worked out of this new exam and for a new updated book to be released, I sure wish I had.

I took the test today and passed. Know your terms read the whole book- if you have little knowledge on Rehab and concepts.... i saw lots of rehab and workers comp...concepts and terms - hit the stuff you are not too familiar with. Ohhhhhhh towards the end of this book, mentions Meningful Use- if you dont know it, get to know it! I saw it on the exam today 3 times—-! Thank you Deanna for making this book easy to read and understand...another tip - please dont spend you money on those practice exams ! Waste of money - I think mometric has this 9.00 kindle version you can buy - get it - get a feel of what the exam will be like....DONT waste your money on those 150.00- 300.00 $ practice test- Read this book from beginning to end and KNOW THE TERMS !!! They will be on the exam!

I purchased both the second revised and third editions. I tested for the first time and passed in August 2020. I feel that this book was an integral part of my study. The third edition is upgraded with an index which was super helpful and I also LOVED having the quizzes and study test. The CCMC and CMSA excerpts were helpful and much easier to access as they are now located in the back of the book. The glossary was removed in the third but the full list remains available on the CCMC site. This book had more information than the previous but read just as easy. I don’t feel any one source contains 100% of the information you need but this was a great resource to keep me on track and know where I needed to do extra work. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to test for the CCM exam.

Passed the exam the first time this week, April, 2017. I only used this book and the CCM exam questions on Kindle for $9.99. I read the book from cover to cover and made 28 pages of notes. I also made my own questions. I studied on and off for 2 weeks and then power studied for 10 hours the day before, rewriting notes from the book. Don't just memorize the facts, study the meat of the facts and possible different scenarios. This is all you need!!!!2018 - I gave my friend this book, she forgot her test day, studied the book for two hours and passed.

I bought this book after a friend who passed the CCM recommended it. My life is pretty busy with work, family, and raising toddler so I was plenty distracted when trying to retain the information about the exam from the CCM website. After reading the book twice, doing the companion guide that comes with it, and reviewing the sample questions posted in the case manager Facebook page, I successfully passed my CCM exam today on the first attempt. There is a third version of this book that is coming out soon that should have practice questions that accompany it. Would definitely recommend this series for test prep.

I am a social worker who has been in case, management for about 5 years now. I have really only worked in the acute care setting. This book was the main reason I passed my exam in August. The new edition comes with a BUNCH of great bonus features. The author of this book also has a great group on Facebook. You can join as well. Due to TOS, I will not discuss the details of the facebook group. However, this book right here alone will help ensure you pass the exam.The book breaks down all the domains into straight forward information, which makes you not only aware but comfortable with each topic. I used the previous edition for my exam before they changed the blueprint, but I still decided to buy the newest edition. It is full of great information. Get this book, you will not regret it. I promise.

I purchased 2 other study books from here (amazon), however the print was quite small and it was difficult to read the materials at night. I bought this book because of the reviews and found it much easier to read and absorb the info even with my 3 small children running around. This was exactly what I needed and I passed the CM certification the first time around. I found this helped me understand concepts that I really didn't focus on. It really brought everything together. I normally would not read a book like this cover-to-cover but I found it so easy to understand I really didn't mind reading this book. I will say the other books I mentioned earlier, included study questions... so... after reading this book i used those study questions to test my knowledge. Great Job. Thanks!
