Q: how long is the wire that connects from the microphon to the recorder and will this work with a voice amplifire?

The cord is about 1.5m and it will work with voice amplifiers, but not all models. It is a condenser mic and is designed primarily for use with analogue tape recorders.

Q: Are the two leads one for the mike and one for ear?

No. One lead has a stereo jack for the microphone, the other lead is to connect the remote control 'on-off' switch to the cassette recorder. You can control (stop/start) the cassette recorder from the built in switch on the microphone.

Q: Why are there two jacks?? I just need a microphone for an old cassette recorder. Will this work?

Cassette recorders may have different size ports to plug into. One of the jacks will most likely work with your recorder. The other may fit into a different device.
