Best summer pants
I can’t say enough good things about these pants! I bought them in 4 colors; white, black, green, and tan. They are pictured the same as they came. I’m about 215lbs, 5’7 and I bought them all in XL and they fit perfectly. Length is perfect right above the ground, the waste is stretchy enough and you can tighten with the strings, high wasted above the belly button. I bought these in hopes to conceal my belly/lower belly because it’s always been a problem area for me especially in jeans. These are the perfect pant for summer to be light enough, comfortable, and hide those insecurities and still look put together. Love pairing them with a crop top and sandals. They aren’t as flowy and wide as other linen pants I’ve had in the past which I love, they are a bit more fitting all the way down but still have a looser fit and the opening at the feet aren’t swallowing my feet to where you can’t see them. I haven’t washed them yet so not sure if they’ll shrink like the other reviews say. I hope not because I’ll want to live in these all summer! (I tried this years target ones that look exactly the same in an xl and they were just way too wide, baggy, and long for me, get these for a more “fitting” but comfy look)

Perfect Gift for Mom
She loves them! They were pretty long, she she hemmed them to her height. Pants are better when they’re too long than too short, so you can tailor them to your exact height. These pants are nice and lightweight, very flowy and perfect for the summertime. My mom needed them after she fell hard and cut her knee badly. Wearing tight jeans when the scab was healing was too painful because they’d stick to her jeans and pull her skin. These pants were perfect for that! I chose these pants in particular because they’re affordable, and they’re mostly linen, cotton, and contain no microplastic fabric like cheap polyester, aka the most environmentally unfriendly material on earth! Finding natural fabrics that don’t contain plastics are getting harder and harder to find, so I REALLY APPRECIATE THIS! Thank you!

Perfect, with modifications
Off the bat, I have a question... if we're searching for trousers with drawstring waists, why are they all, without fail, elasticated? It's annoying. There's literally no need for elastic in the waist in drawstring trousers; the drawstring does the work of keeping the pants up. I'd have given five stars otherwise. Now that I've made my point, I can talk about these particular pants. They're lovely, and everything you want in a cotton/linen blend: breathable, light, comfortable. And that pesky elastic can be easily removed with a little ingenuity. It's tacked down in at least three places: twice at the side seams, and once at the rear seam. Simply take a seam ripper, get your best pair of magnifiers and some good lighting, and pick those tacking stitches out, being careful not to accidentally undo anything structural to the pants. Then, fish a loop of elastic out through one of the drawstring holes, cut the loop, grab an end, and pull it out. Tip: hold onto the drawstring itself so it doesn't slide out along with the elastic. On to the sizing: I'm a classic hourglass lady. Think Marilyn Monroe. Tig ol biddies, small waist, and full hips and thighs. Finding pants that fit both my waist and my hips is a challenge, hence the search for *true drawstring pants*--an hourglass silhouette's dream come true. I am 5'6" and an athletic 165 lbs, 39-30-42. I bought the XL size because I know cotton can shrink as much as 5%, and linen can even go as much as 10%, which is insane. I had no idea if these were preshrunk (and given the price, assumed not), so I wanted to err on the side of caution... I am an unfussy person and wanted to be able to wash and dry these pants with my regular laundry (cold wash, machine dry low heat). Having done so once, I can report that they did, indeed, shrink. They're noticeably shorter, but they were CRAZY long on me before washing - to the tune of at least 6 inches - but now, if I choose to hem them, I might only take 2 inches. Also, after shrinking, I still have lots of room through the hips... which makes me think I could have gone with size L. I'll still keep them, even though they're a touch big; but I do want to order in other colors and sizes, so I'll try an L next and see what happens.Appearance: just really nice-looking, summery pants! I love them. I bought them in white, and I was expecting lots of sheerness... but no, they're pretty good in that respect. All white things are going to have some amount of show-through, but these are probably the least sheer I've ever had. There are pockets, which I know some ladies think is awesome, but I am in the anti-pockets camp... wait, hear me out! When you have full hips like me, pockets can be unflattering. These aren't too bad; at least they're square. (Rounded pockets are THE WORST.) The added bulk can be minimized by giving them a good ironing... did I mention I'm unfussy? :o| However, in this instance, I'll make an exception, because ironed linen pants with just a touch of starch really looks sharp with a breezy, flowy top while having waterfront cocktails or a sunset walk on the boardwalk after dinner.Overall, I really do like them, and can recommend... and I do like that I was able to easily modify them.

Order a size up for baggy fit.
I’m 5’ 7” and weigh 130 pounds. Small frame. Was looking for baggy linen type pants to wear as pj bottoms. I took the advice of the reviewers and ordered what I hoped to be a more relaxed fit. Was also looking for a wider bell bottom. These are not wide bottom they resemble more straight leg openings. The medium is definitely not baggy enough for me. Also, the material is thick and a tad scratchy. Definitely wash before you wear them. Ordered them in the light grey. The color is perfect. The pants hover at my ankles. Not long enough for what I really wanted. My inseam is 30”. Not sure if I will keep them.

Don't bother with these.
There's no need for such extreme elastic in a drawstring waist. These are SUPER high waist. Like up to the middle of my ribs high waist, could have tucked it under my bra high waist. These are NOT wide leg, OR they are not true to size. I am consistently a size large, that is what I bought. These were so uncomfortable- the elastic is tight around the waist, the legs were tight. They were also long (but everything is long when you are 5'2"). I would have hemmed them if they fit better. The tag says 40% linen and 60% cotton for the black color pants- super stiff material, not at all flowing or breezy /drapey like I expected from that percentage blend. This would not be appropriate for summer wear nor to wear in my stifling hot classroom. Extreme wrinkles right out of the bag, but that's to be expected for linen. Since I am returning them I did not bother hitting them with the steamer to see how easily the wrinkles would fall out.Really a bummer, this is now the 5th pair of pants I've ordered and will be returning from Amazon in hopes of finding that easy, breezy pair of linen/cotton pants suitable for casual everyday wear or for work. I had a ton of other colors in the cart just in case these were the unicorn I'd been searching for. Oh well.
