Use wire nuts
It's a fairly good pump but you mustn't use the terminal board provided. The post screw holes are not strong enough for large gage wiring. I bypassed them and used wirenuts instead. Also I removed the sediment screen on the pump due to the high amount of iron in our water. It would have clogged in no time. Use a separate check valve and place it halfway up the well. Our well is but 50' so the pressure is adequate. I have used this pump before but under another brand. I keep one on hand as a spare because at this cost you can afford to have a backup. A name brand domestic pump will cost you 5 times as much and may not contain a control box.

Purchased it in 2024, works great the only think they should add to specks that it needs 4 wires cable

Stopped working on first try
About this pump because it had good reviews. There are a lot of steps to set this up, and I had a master plumber install it, which cost a lot of money. The pump ran one time, pressurized, and then stopped pumping. You could hear the pump running, but it would not pump. We had to pull the pump, and we verified that the pump would run, but it just spun rather than pumped. Our guess is something came loose on the pump side, but the motor was fine.Hopefully, I don’t have any issues returning the pump. The real problem was the money it took to install the pump, uninstall the pump, and then order another pump, and then have the plumber come back out to reinstall the new pump. Basically, it was $400 extra in charges. I should be able to get my money back for the pump itself, but the $400 and time is gone.
