Machine washable
Just got it in and mounted. Wanted to share, there is a softer side, so look with a light or just face the label 'away' from your face when putting it on the helmet (The label will be over the left eye). It's super Velcro attachable so it may take some adjustment to get it laying right. Best method in my quick install was I took the headset strap off (one side to get it out of the way), laid the helmet face down, then folded the pad kinda in half and started at the very top center, laying it down cleanly and going around each eye mount area. You can end up at the nose area with seemingly too much pad, but just retool it back and down a little to make sure it's a perfect fit and that the ends are NOT popping up into the lens area. Hope that makes sense.Love that it's machine washable! From the card (in case you tossed yours or loose it):Machine Wash Instructions1. Wash in cold water on slow spin cycle.2. Use a minimal amount of hypoallergenic detergent.3. Led pad air dry, DO NOT put in the dryer.Would love to hear from someone that has had this if they have actually done it. When/If I get to that point I may come back and add a comment to this review.Feels great on first use, have heard good things from others outside of Zon, great price for what you get, very glad they have these and happy so far!

Good fit, feels a little softer than the original pads. Only complaints are the nose section and the slightly sharp edges (only feel a little sharp to my sensitive face skin.

Normal velcro sticks to the GearVR 1000x better than this facepad
Not worth the price or effort at all. The face pad will not stay connected to the velcro on the GearVR, so it falls off or moves every time I wear it. The easiest method (and least expensive) way to make the stock facepad thicker and conform to the face; is to buy velcro straps (ie: Monoprice 121886 2 Pack Hook & Loop Fastening Tape) and then layer strips of that wherever you see light come through, or alongside the edges where the straps connect. The velcro sticks to the GearVR 1000x better than this facepad.

Excellent product!
I actually bought this for my Oculus Rift S. Obviously some modification was required to make it work but that was no problem at all. This made a much better seal around my face and wicked the sweat with no issues. It is a little warm but I did add a little more gap near bridge of nose to allow some more air flow, so really not an issue for me. Definitely extremely comfortable and I highly recommend!

Not worth buying
I'm taking back my initial review. After having it for a couple months ths now, it really isn't better than the stock pad. It has sharp edges and after washing it once, it got even thinner and the outer layer is tearing. A pain I have to buy another one so soon. Especially when this was awfully expensive for a thin flat tube of felt.

Not enough padding
Only semi comfortable not nearly as plush as I would like

Great for long viewing sessions
These should be a standard item with the Gear VR. The stock Gear VR face pad would bite into your face after 10 minutes, making watching netflix or other videos nearly impossible. These are soft, comfortable and I can wear them for the length of an entire movie. A must-have for anyone using the VR for any length of time. Installs in seconds! Threw the original face pad in the trash.

Made using my Gear vr so much better. Even blocks out any light that might slip in through the sides better then the default.
