JUST WHAT I NEEDED FOR MY POLE
If you don't have a tight fit in the hole, you will get a bend in your pole. I went thru so many poles, all because of a loose hole. Then I got my cone wedge, shoved it in the hole and voilà ; tight hole equals straight pole. (Not bad, eh?)

Black cone wedge is useless for standard table umbrella
The clear plastic ring works fine for a standard table umbrella, BUT the black cone wedge is too small and useless. We couldn’t force the umbrella through it no matter what. So it’s a REALLY expensive plastic ring you’re getting here because that black cone wedge is junk.

After my husband and I lost several patio umbrellas due to storms and wind, I found this little unit and I cannot recommend it enough! For the price??? HECK YES!! Our patio umbrella has been stable ever since. Do not hesitate! It really works.
