I now understand reviews I read before placing order. It's a beautiful clock but the back and sides of it are plastic. Struggled to get flap off back to insert battery...only to find it isn't a AAA battery as stated in description & paperwork, if I can't find out what battery it is I will be returning it...going back through reviews to see what battery they used as it was mentioned in them.Bought N battery (never heard of it before) and clock ok, ticking noise level pretty quiet. Must be happy with it as I went on to purchase one of other designs - the one described as white enamel, I'd describe it more like really pale grey but still beautiful and still quiet ticking noise.Upgrading my initial 2 stars to 4.

Beautiful clock, brought as it would look nice in my shabby chic bedroom. I would of given the clock 5 star's, but it states it takes AAA batteries, these are way to big, so I'm left with a clock I can't use as I have no idea what sort of battries the clock takes. Would be happy if someone could help what the clock takes, otherwise will send back

Loved this OTT bling clock. It’s perfect for my craft room and would be lovely in a bedroom (boudoir!). It does tick so not suitable for those who like silence. It took an AAA battery. I’m delighted with this purchase.

Love this little clock, it looks great in my bathroom.

Clock was purchased as a gift for pearl wedding anniversary and was beautiful. HOWEVER.. the batteries recommended to purchase with this clock was not correct. I purchased N batteries as recommended in the description and it actually requires AAA

This little clock is beautiful and looks lovely on my dressing table. It would be lovely as a gift....I wish someone had bought it for me but I bought it myself. The price is great too as it's a quality item. I love it.

I love this clock. It does however, have a really loud tick. I got used to it but some people may find it a bit too loud. Really pretty clock.

So pretty ordered another one for a gift. Says it needs an N battery this is wrong.
