Martin Retro guitar strings are definitely of the highest quality. I have a 12 string acoustic electric guitar and these strings have given it a whole new sound, not to mention making it much easier to play with the ultra light strings. These strings stay in tune and feel so much better on my fingers. I look forward to many hours of effortless playing due to the durability and top quality coating Martin manufactures their strings with. The price will make you smile, too!

So far they are the best strings I’ve ever used.

Martin Monel strings have a different wrap on Low E and the G string. It is a nickel copper alloy. I find they have less tension as other strings. They work well with instruments that are mahogany and other dark sounding woods. I have used them on six and twelve string guitars. They work well on 12 strings because they maintain less tension on the neck. Everyone should try them at least once.

Strings are of the highest quality. A 12-string guitar can be a challenge to change the strings, but once they are all brought up to pitch, they tend to stay in tune.
