I am retracting my prior negative review because I found the error was mine. I verified with a threaded gage that my bolts are 5/16" x 18 x2". My error as I did not understand the nominal diameter of a 5/16 bolt appears to be 1/4".

These are really good quality bolts I will def be buying these again.

These were a handy way to secure my security camera.

Works great attaching an expensive, leather Harley solo seat that came with a thumb bolt. It's unlikely the casual thief will be able to handle a Button Head Torx but would certainly have an opportunity with the thumb-bolt setup . Inexpensive protection.

I was mounting a security safe to a custom made safe stand, and needed security screws, that could not be removed easily. I bought a tap and die set, and made the matching screw threads into the safe stand, and then mounted steel straps around the safe. The screws are of great quality.

These worked well with my license plate, frame and with the plastic protective caps that came with. Pretty confident that my license plates won't get stolen as I used these and two other security screws.

I bolted something in a less than private place and I didn't want it to be removed. For good measure, I filled in the head with epoxy.Other bolts I have experimented with have smooth, rounded heads. They are supposed to be secure but since they won't mount flush, they can be removed with pliers.So, I'm pleased that these can't be removed, but I wish they weren't quite so expensive.
