Awesome Little Flashlight
I love this little flashlight. It's super bright and the charge lasts a long time. Takes a couple hours to fully recharge but that's okay with me. I particularly like that it has an internal battery. I have 7 Fenix flashlights, two of this model.

What a great little EDC light!
One of my favorite features of this little light is the fact that it is rechargeable. I carry this little guy in my pocket as one of my EDC items, along with a pocket knife, and and an EKG monitor. The simplicity is great, the settings are perfect for most every applications, and it is a good size. When you're using it, you just need to get used to using the switch, hold for a second to turn on, then press again for each level of brightness. When you're charging it, make sure you find a plug thay fits all the way in, the first one I tried, kept slipping out. Another homerun for Fenix! Edit 3/26- My birthday was yesteray and I have been thinking about getting an EO3R. Before I make any purchase I will usually analyze it to death which is what I did in this case. I campared the run times of my EO9R that I just bought to the EO3R and was greatly surprised! As you can see by the attached pictures, the run times are conderably different in that the EO9R's run times are much better. Not to mention that the EO9R has more settings. Ok I was wrong, the EO3R has one more setting, which is the Red setting for reading maps which can be very useful. I am still considering buying the EO3R but I thought it was worth pointing out if you considering either of these great EDC Keychain lights.

Fenix E09R compact flashlight
I have many different flashlights and this one is an edc type of flashlight, small and compact, and has 4 levels of brightness. Quick and easy charging and pretty decent long lasting charge and waterproof too. This is also my second Fenix flashlight and very pleased with both.

Awesome
Love this flashlight. Battery last a super long time and is very bright. Pretty robust too - it lives in my pocket 100% of the time!

Good light, hard to use.
So, I've been using Fenix lights for about 15 years not I think. I love them, and decided to get some new rechargeable lights and ordered 3 in one shot. Like all Fenix lights, they're bright, sturdy, compact, and just an all around good light. However, they've made a recent change that may lose me as a customer forever. All of the new lights I ordered have a new switch mechanism. Instead of a tail switch, they now have a tiny little metal button on the head. This button is so small and sits so flush with the body that it can be incredibly hard to find in the dark with bare hands, and is basically impossible to use with gloves on. It's fine if it's already light and you can see the flashlight, but you have to look at it to turn it on. If you're grabbing it in an already dark space, which is how I use mine, it takes much too long to try and find the switch. This was a poor design choice Fenix. A tail switch is simple to find, in the dark, with gloves on, with numb hands. This thing is not useable if you can't feel your fingers. Also not useful if you use this tactically in your off-hand for pistol work. It's a barely noticeable ridge, and one of the lights, the charging port is in the same spot but opposite side, so if feels just like the switch!! Did nobody user test these? I'm disappointed and will start looking at other brands.

Wanted this a little bit brighter.
I originally purchased a Fenix E12 about 8 years ago. When that finally stopped working after years of abuse, I looked for a replacement. The E09R looked like a suitable replacement. For the most part it is, roughly the same size and weight, and the same sturdy construction. My only complaint is the "moonlight" mode is significantly less bright than the low mode for the E12. It's good enough to find my way, but it's not bright enough to help motorists see me on our dark streets. The next brightest setting is great, but I want the battery to last for months, not weeks. This is really a champagne problem to have. Since it's rechargeable, I can use the brighter modes and not generate as much battery waste, and still have the light last for years.

Compact, bright flashlight. Loving it so far!
Love it! This tiny flashlight shines bright! I’m constantly reaching for it for various tasks around the house. I used to prefer alkaline batteries (non-rechargeable), but I haven’t yet had to worry about needing to charge this flashlight in the three months I’ve had it and with fairly regular use. This flashlight has converted me to lithium-ion. I also appreciate that I can charge this with USB-C and don’t need some random obscure cable. Definitely plan to pick up another to carry in my bag when I’m out on evening walks and hikes. If anything comes up I’ll update this. But so far so good.
