just what i needed
i like that i set an output voltage and it stays even with different input voltages

buck only, no boost
I bought a mix of small boost converters to try, to boost up a small (3.5-6v) voltage up to 12v. This one only bucks down, it will not boost. If you input any voltage below the set output voltage, that's what you get out the output, it just passes the lower input voltage right through. So it's useless for my project. I'll keep it on hand in case I need a buck converter of that size. It's got a larger heat sink than most converters of that rating, so that may be a plus. It's a shame though, it's difficult to find a boost converter with a low input voltage like this one claims - there's a market for it, but this one just doesn't deliver. I don't know if I got a bad one, or it's a design flaw, or it's just listing a feature it doesn't have, but other reviews here seem to have the same issue so I'm guessing it's mislabeled. Most of my buck/boost supplies either buck OR boost, but I have a few here that will do whichever is needed, depending on the input and set output voltages. This one can only buck down though.

Didn't survive the first minute of testing
I purchased four different brands of buck/boost modules and tested all of them for a project. This one smoked one of the four mosfets shortly after applying power with a 4 amp constant current load. I replaced the mosfet and it would not startup under load. Applying the load after startup, the module appeared to do what it's supposed to, transitioning from buck to boost. I didn't bother taking data as I had 3 more to test and none of them let out smoke.

Poor performance
I do not know where the 93% efficiency rating comes from. When having 12V at 2A the device gets incredibly hot (with heatsink!) suggesting that the actual number is in the 50% range.

50% functional
It bucks, but the boost is totally non-functional. No QC at all.
