I've bought cheap levers in the past that were extremely poor quality, so bad the bar clamp snapped during install (hadn't even begun to really snug it down). But when you are just trying to fix up an old bike, it doesn't make sense to put expensive gear on it. I nervously ordered these and am actually surprised at the quality. I'm working with a custom use. I expected I would have to modify some things. The hole for the cable barrel seems big, but it may be correct for other applications. These are economy parts at an economy price. If you want high quality parts you should look at more expensive parts. These worked out for me.
