Is this soldering station and hot air rework station good for general purpose soldering and smd, tht soldering?

It’s pretty good and probably a bit overkill for general purpose soldering. It’s generally well built and quite quick to heat up, though I would look to get better soldering iron tips, as the ones that come with it aren’t Amazing

What is the Wattage rating of the soldering iron, I have a 48W iron currently which needs to be against the component too long to melt the solder.

Don’t know but I have used this on a lot of PCB boards, especially older ones with a lot of heavy duty components and it has no problems

How long does it take for the soldering iron to heat up?

Very fast. Usually within around 15-20 seconds.

Would this be good as a starter for Console repair?

This Station is fantastic, i’m sure it would meet most requirements. The quality i think for the money is on point - 10/10 for me.
