If you want to know Asa Akira life during 30 then please read.
As a huge Asa Akira fan I really liked this book. Now that being said her first book Asa Akira: Insatiable is better book and if you haven't read that one yet I highly recommend doing that first, so you can get the whole story and a back ground knowledge of what she was going threw and thinking before she turned 30.Now this book Asa Akira: Dirty Thirty is a book about the year when Asa Turns 30 and how it effects her not only as a adult star but also as a western women. There are funny and entertaining parts and there are sad parts much like her first book. But it hits different because this is clearly a new page being turned for Asa and her career, and if you know where she is now in her life (which is motherhood with a new guy and being a ambassador for phub) you see some foreshadowing. Basically what I'm saying is if you haven't read the first book please do so, then read this book if you want to see more of Asa and also see how the seed of who she is today was planted. I love Asa Akira!

Just joking, straight, honest, no holds bared, open, truthful (I think). Understand her daughter has a way above I.Q., like her mother. Is there anything in your sex life you haven’t done. There is humor in this book.Old RonFlorida

more great Asa stories
this book was good, but her first one was better. That being said read them both, you won't be disappointed. Asa is a great writer, and has some awesome stories.

A pleasant surprise
I read Asa's last book which I wasn't overly impressed with. This book is a big change from that. I found it interesting, enjoyable, and funny from time to time. The book reads smoothly like a person telling you a story.I look forward to future books from her.

I love Asa Akira! Can't wait to read more books from her!
I have read every porn star memoir and Asa's is definitely the best. Her writing style is funny and each chapter is a short story about her life. I love the haikus and I enjoy Asa's writing a lot. I knew Asa as a porn star but never really watched her porn. Getting to know her through this book made me look at her porn with an "awww" feeling. Especially the scenes with her and her adorable husband, Toni Ribas. He seems like such a sweet guy and they have the ideal porn couple relationship with clear boundaries and lot of communication. Toni also seems really good at putting up with Asa's crazy tantrums. This was such a fun read. I enjoy Asa's books way more than her porn. She's an amazing porn star but I hope she makes time to write more books! I'm a total fan.

Admire Asa's courage and rawness, always honest even if it makes her look bad!
Love examining the psyche of those who work in the porn industry. Asa's book was a pretty good read and i admire her raw honesty even when she portrays herself in a negative light. This book is funny insightful and for me definitely confirms all those stereotypes about so many females who work in porn. I.e drug abuse, sexual abuse when younger, etc. I hate to be a judge of character but this lady is really a narcissistic neurotic mess! But still...i admire her honesty and courage to showcase this by opening up her life in this book. (It made me go and buy her next book 'Insatiable')

A long blog post with a price tag.
I read her first book and pretty much loved it, it was so refreshing seeing a new outlook on life and hearing about someone else's wild experiences. This book, however, did not give me that same satisfaction. She claims to be writing for hours every day in this book, but those writings must not be in this book because this book doesn't seem like it would take more than a week to write. I was really expecting more from Asa, especially with her second book. More structure, more of a story. All I got were some funny stories and diary entries collected throughout the year. I really wanted to enjoy it as much as I did her first book, but being an author, each book should be better than the last, not the other way around. With that being said, if youre looking for a fun, random read of a few funny stories, Asa does not disappoint. If you're looking for something that tops her first book, I suggest waiting until she comes out with her fiction book and give her a chance then. Asa's talent shines when it comes to wit and humor, she just needs some work on writing with a big picture in mind.

Not as good as Insatiable but still a worthy read.
An honest expression of aging gracefully as a wife, porn star, writer, bad bitch.

and she can write too
If you are wanting a book about the pain and heart ache of working in porn this is not for you. Asa has wit and sass and front, she talks openly about her sexuality, her unusual marriage , her unusual life. Its not a bed time sex read but an honest blog. She can write as good as the other stuff she is more famous for.

Not for the faint of heart
Hilarious, and depending on your sensitivity to sexual content, can be a bit cringe inducing. It gave me some very new insight to a different world, a different outlook.. and strangely enough actually has some sound advice on relationships.

Makes you understand the truth about the adult entertainment world. ASA is such a beautiful and funny woman. I loved reading both books.

Insatiable!
I've read several biographies of "working" women, and have always been impressed by the honesty and literacy of these accounts. This book is the best of the lot! The author is intelligent, educated, and communicates well as a writer. She is also very funny. The sex is almost an aside - the real story is about her life outside of her performances in the sex industry. Her relationships with other women, and the male friends in her life are the real substance of the book. Certainly, porn has been a major influence on her life, but the lack of it in her writing will not detract from her ability as an author at all.I have often wondered if the women who perform for porn films are forced by their circumstances, such as child abuse, addiction to drugs, or sold into sex slavery; so it is refreshing to learn that some women choose this profession as a liberating, and empowering act. This was the most expensive e-book that I have ever purchased, and I decided to make the purchase to encourage the author to pursue her writing career, because I do think she has talent as a writer. Well, done, Asa.
