Q: What is the difference between tweed and wool?

Tweed is a type of woolen fabric or roll of material. It is woven from wool that is spun or twisted into yarns or rolls of threads. Yarn may be obtained by mixing dyed wool before it is spun. How you weave it can given different final appearances to the finished material with a herringbone (zig-zag) design being the most common. When combined with other colors a fleck of bright color know as a Donegal type weave will result.

Q: Does this cap come in a brown tweed? How should I measure my head to determine the proper size?

At this time it does not come in brown tweed. Measure the circumference of your head just over the top of your eyebrows make sure that it is even all the way around?may need help with this. The sizes for the Hanly caps are Small (6-7/8) = 56cm or 22", Medium (7-1/8) = 58cm or 22-3/4" , Large (7-3/8) = 60cm or 23-1/2", XL (7-5/8) = 62cm or 24-1/4", or 2XL (7-7/8) = 64cm or 24.2" measuring from the widest point of the head.

Q: does this cap have a band around it sewn and see it in back instead of a straight back?

It has a band that is sewn in and tapers to the brim on the sides. Its not like a newsboy cap in the back. This was a real great purchase for me and is perfect fit. Quality construction
