Honey Keeper Beehive 10 Frame Kit Super Box and 10 Deep Frames with Foundations for Langstroth Beekeeping

When I first opened the box, I thought "Holy crap, what did I get myself into!!!" In spite of looking like a jenga game, it is very simple to put together. I didn't use glue, 'cause here in east Texas, it melts in the summer and makes a heck of a nasty mess. I haven't used the nails yet, I'll finish that tomorrow. I will drill pilot holes, so I don't split the wood. I was extremely skeptical about buying this online. I must say I am very pleased with it!! Absolutely excellent quality, very well made. I wish I'd gotten my entire hive from them, I would've stained it instead of painting, this box is very nice looking! I will buy from these folks again when it's time to add another box (or, over the grumblings of my not-so-enthusiastic husband, another hive....). If you want a quality product at a decent price, this is it!!

Surprisingly really good quality for a product from China. The joints fit perfectly, no issues whatsoever. I've bought them twice now, for a total of seven of these kits. The only downside is that the frames are not pre-waxed. I usually add more wax anyways, so this was not much of an issue for me. Make sure to pre-drill holes to avoid splitting. I had one box split a little, but there was a large knot there and I should have drilled the hole deeper.

I like the way the panels are jointed together, I believe they'll last a long time. All the cuts and finish are great. Smells like cedar. The price was good. It came with all the hardware and with instructions for beginners. All and all, I'm well pleased. Not sure how the tariffs will change the price since this is a product of a certain country.

Piece is as described...bought this for.a Christmas gift for.my wife as she.is getting into beekeeping....course when it came shipped in the.companys box bee stuff printed all over it....kinda took the.surprise out of it.....thanks amazon....that being said ...very nice quality pieces fit well...didn't use the.nails on the 10 frames I used an 18ga air stapler with 1 1/4" staples....very sturdy ...I did use the enclosed nails for the.box...i read everyone having issues with splitting and all that....people have to be smart....I predrilled using a small bit....added just a bit of glue and nailed with no issues whatsoever....very happy with finished product ....I ended up purchasing a 2 ND one so we can set up a 2nd.hive.......

These are nice sturdy, easy to assemble, boxes and frames w/foundations. Pre-drill your holes to start. Direct nailing will cause splitting.

These are nice brood boxes. Assembled them without issues. Definitely need to predrill the holes for the nails, otherwise you will end up splitting the fingers on the boxes. Plenty of nails included so you can nail every finger from both directions. Would definitely buy again. Painted them after the fact with 2 coats of exterior paint, should last a longtime.

I had to return this item because i made a mistake and bought a 10 frame kit and not an 8 frame kit.

It does not have pre-drilled holes, so make sure you do that. It comes with nails for the box and the frames. Also, the foundations aren’t waxed.
