Good, comfortable protection
Not going to attest to how they work in the case of an actual snake encounter, but I will say that these gaiters are comfortable, easy to adjust, and stay in place while hiking (and biking). My use case is hunting, and this early season I have encountered timber rattlesnakes near one of my stands. I get to my spot by riding my e-bike for about a mile, followed by a half mile walk in. These gaiters stayed in place and didn't interfere with my stride or cause any undue noise. I felt well protected as I approached the areas I had seen the snakes in. The coverage is from the top of your foot to your knee. Given the sturdy steel toe boots I use, I felt well protected from knees to toes.

Sturdy and well built. Layered polypro sheets are flexible but puncture resistant. Comfortable to wear and confidence inspiring.

Nice, rugged, could use some velcro fasteners though.
Nice gaiters. I believe they will definitely be snakeproof (we have copperheads in the area, so we're always on watch!) as they are rugged and well constructed.4 stars rather than 5 because a little strip of velcro placed strategically could really make them easier to put on. I will like stitch this on myself. Minor annoyance, but this simple addition could make the product more usable.
