This sink drain catcher is very effective in catching debris before it goes down the drain. It's also easier to clean. I had purchased some plastic ones, but they tended to get cruddy and slimy and were hard to clean. I'm glad I made the switch! Oh, and they fit over the sink drain perfectly!

Best kitchen sink strainer. The middle piece keeps the water draining even though there’s a lot of stuff accumulating. I like that I can wait until all the water is drained before emptying the strainer. That way none of the stuff goes down the drain. Works so well I got my daughter one too and even she loves it.

I have a double sink, these looks good and they work - every rarely does the sink fill up when this trap is full- its design allows for the water to drain even if the strainer trap is full of food waste. Glad I broke down and bought these. Also, the mushroom drain strainers for the bathroom are in incredible at catching hair in shower and sink

This works well to keep the water flowing even when full. However, I have 2 beefs with it: 1) the center, rubber piece sticks up higher than the rest so if you are trying to strain pasta for example, your strainer may not sit on top of your drain. I have one that’s made to fit over the drain and it wouldn’t fit with the Sink Shroom on it because it sticks up too high. Why they didn’t make it flush, I’ll never understand. 2) It slides around. I don’t know why there’s nothing underneath it to keep it from moving. Oh and one more gripe: if you use the sink stopper that comes with it, you will never get it out of your sink. Maybe if you ruin a few knives and scratch up your sink you MIGHT get it out.

it does trap the hair and it is easy to clean.

I’ve heard good things about the maker of this so I decided to try this. I’ve tried other sink strainers and they’re always flimsy or they don’t clean easily. This strainer does what it says since my kids like letting food pile up in the strainers when they do dishes. It’s also easy to clean and it’s sturdy stainless steel. This was the best strainer that I’ve bought. If you need a good sink strainers, buy this and you won’t regret it.

Works as described.

I don't have a garbage disposal, and my roommate tenants refused to listen when I asked them to scrape their dishes into the trash. The thought of food scraps in my pipes was stressing me out, so I looked on Amazon for a solution. I'm so happy I found these!!Literally everything about these is exactly as described. They fit snug against the sink drain so they don't allow any food to go down underneath the basket. The water is allowed to pass through. They even LOOK SHARP! My roommate complimented me on them when she first saw them.The only thing I haven't quite been able to figure out how to deal with are when sticky, stringy foods get washed down into the basket, sometimes it partially goes through the little holes and partially not, leaving a little stringy mess that doesn't easily clean up, but I think this would be true for any product like this. Honestly, it's not a big deal compared to how amazingly well this product is in every other respect.I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone whose sink does not have a garbage disposal (and perhaps even those whose sinks do)!
