Bought this to tie into my car's 12V battery power to add a USB port in place of my cigarette power port. Works exactly as expected. Made the mistake of buying one without the step down converter and it didn't work, so don't make the same mistake I did and buy this first.

Used this with a fuse tap to wire up a dash cam to my car as the socket in my car is always on and the dash cam would drain my battery! This product allowed me to wire it to a fuse that would only turn on when the car was turned on and save my battery!

I wired this into my Wrangler JK rear view mirror to power a dash cam at top of windshield. So far so good, better than wires strung all around in line of sight, falling out from where tucked into panels, etc, I’d buy again.

This thing is a fire hazard. Seriously avoid. Just look at the pic and see how it burst. Luckily I had a camera hooked to it, I happened to be trying to access all my cameras because we haven’t had internet lately and when I couldn’t access 1 specifically. I went down to check. Nearly burned up my in-laws garage because it failed. It has been warming up here lately(getting close to 80f ambient) , so maybe that was a contributing factor, but seriously avoid it. Not worth risking a life to save a few bucks. Will be reporting to amazon

I replaced my headunit with a tablet setup and this was a necessary compliment to my new setup. This is setup to be plugged into my digital type c hub for my tablet. As soon as power hits the DC stepdown it powers my unit and allows it to charge. Wonderful and effective unit!

I am using this to use the motion sensor wires l that came with the house to power a WiFi camera. Works perfectly well. Now my installation looks clean and as if it was installed by a professional.

Using on my motorcycle to provide ignition keyed power (paired with a relay) so u can have my cell phone or GPS charging at all times with the bike running. It provides "quick charging" according to my Samsung phone and will stay fully charged with music streaming and GPS active.

Bought this for a motorcycle. I’ve been using one for years but it was a cigarette lighter type that I just put on top of a motorcycle battery. Worked for 10 years. but since I was getting a new battery I thought I would get this device which is a bit smaller. However, when plugging in, the USB connector it falls right out. It’s too loose and does not charge correctly. Works intermittently at best. Can somebody please tell me where I can get one that’ll work with an iPhone dependently. I’ve seen reviews that these burned up. Don’t need a fire on a bike. I’ll be sending this back.Edit: after doing some light bending of the connector metal. I got a more substantial contact. I’ll update this again after using it for a while. But working OK now.
