Bookend heavy duty
The design of this bookend is perfect. It's heavy slick design holds many books upright. I use it on an "open" bookshelf that has no ends. I needed something decorative but heavyweight to do the job. I love the look of the couple reading. Recommended for any "book nerd" that loves to read "hard copy" books....not the ebook versions.

SO FAR SO GOOD
After reading several reviews was not sure if should buy. One person said it was rough, thus not suitable to be gifted, ours came smooth, not really sure what that person was refering to. We are not using it as a book end, as wound up placing it on a book shelf that the books are laying down, thereefore using it as a piece of art. Even my husband likes the way it looks on the shelf.
