Held shells in place no slipage. Seems well made.

Says it fits Mossberg 500 & 590. Came missing a 10-32 nut. Hole in the metal plate for the 10-32 screw was drilled undersize, or the coating was so thick that the screw could not go through.I went to the hardware store & picked up a $0.15 nut & drilled out the hole to size - problem solved, right? No!I put the plate on top of the receiver to align with the newly inserted screws, and the plate will not lay flush because of the BUTTSTOCK, not the fore-end, and the MFG/seller describes as a potential issue. I will not be modifying my buttstock. This is an unfortunate trend in design/manufacturing.Buyer beware. Maybe this does not exist in the shorter 4-shell design?

Arrived sooner than promised, take 15 minutes to install ( 5 minutes of reading instructions), very easy to install, look great and function perfectly, buy it and you will be glad to have extra shells on hand without fumbling for it.HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

This was purchased for a Maverick. Contrary to some previous reviews, all screws/ components fit as they should, and the mounting plate was properly recessed to accommodate installation. I installed all screws with a little dab of blue loctite, and as previously stated in some reviews, the materials are a little cheap, so be careful not to over tighten. The product lost one star as the plastic portion of the carrier had sharp edges that I had to remedy with an exacto knife and a little fine sanding. Now let's see if it holds up to recoil!

Awesome product for a perfect price,You have to modify the aluminum bracket,drill six holes to match your folding stock holes And try to find small screws that goes with it,I had a set of screws from an RC car, It works just fine.

Like other reviews, the one I recieved had the countersink holes in the wrong side of the plate. A longer screw fixed this issue, though I had to make it work with what I had on hand.Mine also only had 4 "carrier screws" instead of 6. While 4 at the corners will hold the item in place, overall I'm left feeling that this entire thing was much more difficult and had the wrong pieces.Once in place I started feeling better. It holds the shells tightly and feels securely mounted despite the improvised mounting. If this package came with all of the pieces and was correctly manufactured, it would be a 5/5 star product.

Custom project here. I removed the metal plate that suppose to connect to shotgun itself and mounted plastic holders on to the wood with screws (wood screws not included). They hold shells very well and looks good.
