I am a new oculus user, and was getting major headaches from the strap it came with. I bought this one based on price and reviews, and let me tell you it was worth it!Easy Installation: this strap incorporates the strap that already comes with your oculus. So all you have to do is thread the oculus straps through the piece you get from here and you’re done! Super easy to adjust.Comfortability: This strap has already helped majorly with headaches that I got with the oculus strap. It broadens the area where the strap rests on the back of your head by having a wide back head rest. Adding a battery on the back also helps with balancing the weight of the front of the headset. The cushion is also a very nice touch and is soft the the touch!Battery Strap: I love that this strap comes with a strap that can be put on and removed easily. I bought an Anker battery pack and it fits perfectly with no slipping or looseness.Hard Shell Case: I have the Oculus hard shell case and this fits in there perfectly! There is a tight fit when you put it in, but it zips easily and doesn’t affect anything.Cons: if you have a low ponytail while playing, it does provide some discomfort when tilting your head upwards.

I was thinking of getting an Elite strap or aftermarket elite-like strap. Then I saw all the reports about cracking on these units and bought this instead. This is basically how the Q2 should have shipped. this support requires that you remove the strap to install it. For anyone who just got their quest (like myself at the time of getting this) it comes off at the sides, just make sure not to pull on the audio portion of the arms, the strap clips *around the arms*, the top strap is simpler. you put this support through the existing strap, then put the strap back on.Once you put the headset on, it sits at the back base of your skull and does a good job offsetting the weight of the Quest. It's also solid plastic backing the padding, so that helps. The downside with that is the challenge I have in fitting everything into my hard case with this installed. That's a fairly small downside compared to the extra support though.

Tried the other straps like the Halo strap and I felt the original strap was better because they hurt the ears. Elite strap from oculus breaks easily like the index controllers.....I use these and omg, what a difference. Using the original strap that won't break with these are a whole lot better than the rest. I am buying these for the wife, she has the other straps and she said it gets blurry, the images because how the strap works... Does for me too.Buy these, these are superior to all of them

This thing is amazing! Soooo much more comfortable now wearing my Oculus 2 with this balance cushion thing on it. The cusion itself is nice and, um, cushiony...feels good against my noggin. It is also very well made, with its hard outer shell, and the padding on the inside.It is also very easy to install. I had it on my headband within 5 minutes tops. I currently have no need for the extras that came with it, but it's rather cool that, at this affordable price point, they threw in the battery strap and such.Oh, also, I have a case for the headset and controllers, where the controllers fit into two straps on the inside of the top lid of the case, and closes down into the bottom of the case with the headset in it. Since it is a small hardshell case, and it all fits just right and snug, I was a bit concerned that adding this thing to the headset straps would not allow me close the case, as it would block the controllers nesting down whilst closing it. But, it just, and I mean just closes and I can zip up the case with it all inside. So, if my description sounds like a case you might have...it will close with this thing on it, barely, but it does.So, anyway, does it help make wearing the Oculus 2 more comfortable? Absolutely.Does it seem to be well made? Yes.Would I buy it again? Definitely. I am a happy, and more comfortable, little virtual camper now.And thus ends my little review.
