J’ai reçu mon ring bender, mais contrairement aux 2e et 3e photos (images en 3D), l’appareil ne vient pas avec un étau. Il fonctionne très bien une fois vissé sur une surface en bois (vis non incluses). L’outil comprend une toute petite vis de pression pour maintenir le round die en place, qu’on dévisse avec une mini clé Allen (incluse). Par contre, je vous recommande FORTEMENT de remplacer cette vis par une petite vis à tête fendue que vous pourrez retirer sans soucis avec un tournevis. Pourquoi? Parce qu’après seulement 3 utilisations, la vis d’origine s’est coincée dans son trou et une simple pression peut facilement abîmer le filetage intérieur. La clé Allen n’aide pas beaucoup, elle finit même par endommager l’intérieur de la vis. Résultat : une bonne heure passée à essayer de la déloger (avec l’aide d’un commis de quincaillerie… si vous avez la chance qu’il accepte de vous aider 😅). Sinon, l’appareil fonctionne parfaitement bien et fait très bien son travail! 👍🏼🤓

The Pepe Mark 2 Ring bender is a great tool to use provided you use the nylon formers, these perform without any problem. The steel formers mark the material very badly, probably as bad or worse than using pliers, this is due to the edges being sharp and appear not to be the same radius as the nylon ones.

This thing is the BEST. I repurpose old flatware into stuff and this answered all my needs for bending. The time it saves you makes it pay for itself in no time. I had my doubts about this contraption holding up to what I needed it to do, but holy smokes it works great. The handle can go in either direction to press so you can use either hand without getting awkward. I mounted mine on the corner of my work table through the holes provided. I’d like to see a size extension on the dies provided, but for rings and keychains what comes with it is magnificent. The silicon press pieces are remarkably strong and hold up to even thicker, serving spoon sized handles without damaging the metal it presses against. This guy is worth every penny. While this machine does the work for you, you still need to practice bending and get a feel for it. Once your piece is bent it’s hard to adjust if it’s not elbow you want. So far it’s easiest to start with a larger diameter die and work your way down to the size you’re aiming for.
