CATEYE Analog Wireless Computer Parts Kit

The media could not be loaded.  I recently reached out to CATEYE support to find a part number for my sensor.The support replied very quick and helped me to find what I need. The sensor was easy to install and use.

I have a summer bike and a winter bike, and I wanted to use the same odometer/speedometer on both. This kit made it so that I can switch the computer back and forth between the two bikes in less than 20 seconds. This kit is a little expensive, in light of the cost being about half the price of a new computer, but it works for me. Installation is fairly simple. Just follow the instructions. For good reception, I would install the transmitter as high as you reasonably can on the front fork. Also, you might want to have a few extra zip ties on hand, because it is easy to break them if you try to tighten them too much. However, be aware that the zip ties used with this kit are not a thickness that is common in the U.S. — you can easily find thinner or thicker ties at your local home improvement store, but the measurements of the included zip ties, and the corresponding channels on the transmitter, are in-between these common sizes.

I was surprised this item was still available. It's works fine. No complaints.

more manufacturers should offer a second dock for cyclecomputers. This one is easily installed and the tensioner on the base allows easy removal. and that makes cleaning under it possible without having to replace snap ties as on most other brands. Now if they did the same on the sending unit......

I have 3 bikes and I have purchased the kits so that I can use the head unit on all 3. It works great. It loses little accuracy between my 29er, my fatbike and my 26. It allows you to store 2 different wheel sizes so I can save the 29 and 26 and switch between when I switch out bikes. Great value for the price.

Very frustrating. No useful instructions. The computer works fine on the first bike, but this kit cannot be synced with the computer. Instructions show a reset button on the sending unit, but the unit has no buttons of any kind. Tried removing battery to reset and sync it, no luck. Will return it.

Having installed Cateye products in the past, I didn't have the issues with the instructions that some reviewers experienced. Easy clean install. I like the wireless install so much better on suspension forks. I've had issues with sensor cables getting stretched/crimped in the past. Wireless completely eliminates that problem. I'm ordering another one for my hardtail.
