These guys had a bunch of radio friendly hits in the decade of polyester suits, silk shirts and platform shoes. Russell Thompkins’ smooth and easy falsetto is an easy listen. A collection of great memories from a party heavy time gone by.

As a long time fan, I was quite pleased to come across this double album. It contains all of my favorite selections plus a few extremely well done songs that I have never heard before.While no compilation is perfect, this one comes quite close to being perfect.If you are a fan it is worth the extra money over the standard Greatest Hits, and, who knows, you may even come across a hidden gem (like I did) that you never knew existed.

I just Luv this group. But, I did not know till I read the liner notes that The Stylistics was Not a "group", but one man and three back up singers. Russell Tompkins has one one the best falsetto voices of this era. All these songs are just Fantastic,even some of the ones I had never heard. You Make Me Feel Brand New is one of my top favs. If I may point out to the real fans of this group,there is one glaring omition. The song "Children of the Night". It is a wonderful haunting song that for whatever reason is not included. If memory serves this song did receive some airplay and some....noteriety. Hmmm.... A great collection of songs averall,abeit the price of this collection is a bit overpriced. Thanks.

Overall, I was really satisfied with this updated, newly remastered 2 CD release of the Stylistics. This song material had spanned over 38 total tracks versus 10 songs on a single CD that I've had for over 25 years.. In addition, the sound quality of this newer update from 2005 was much better than my older CD. Furthermore, the delivery time was fast, receiving It well ahead of the projected date. Highly recommended to Philadelphia soul music enthusiasts like myself!

I so enjoyed listening to The Very Best of and More of The Stylistics. They are a favorite band from the 70s and I owned a number of vinyls from back then, and a number of the tracks on this album were represented on those old vinyls, which sadly I don't have any more. The information/interview on the sleeve intrigued me as Russell Tompkins Jr sang vocals in the majority of the tracks and it was interesting reading on the history of the group.

This is a great compilation of '70's Stylistics & has all of the hits & songs I was interested in listening to. This was music that had melody & not just a beat.

The music arrived just fine but the price on the package said $9.99 I was charged $19.00 I agreed to pay that even though I thought it was a bit much, they could have taken the actual price tag off of the package so I didn't look so much like a unsuspecting nut.
