This router does not include a battery.

Q: Will my non-Octane Rigid 18V battery work in this tool?

When it comes to (Amp hour) no problem. Rigid Batteries are compatible with all Rigid tools. I like the 9.0ah when using mine. Great power, cuts through aluminum like butter and it adds leverage by (almost) doubling the routers height. Hope this helps….
